Ateez - when the boys unite

Chapter 35

The boys were splashing around in the sea as the sun started to set. Wooyoung was the first to get out of the salty water and he dried himself off with one of the towels they had left in the mini van. Followed after him was San who joined his boyfriend at the van.

San: Are you cold?

Wooyoung: A little

San disappeared into the van put returned with a blanket for the two. They smiled at each other before they both sat on the hood of the van. They cuddled into each other as they watched the sunset.

Wooyoung: It’s so pretty!

San: Not as pretty as you though

Wooyoung blushed a little at the compliment but was lucky that there was limited light so San couldn’t see. San placed a kiss to Wooyoung’s temple as his boyfriend rested his head against his chest. Wooyoung smiled up to his boyfriend who placed a kiss now on his lips. They watched the sunset as the silhouettes of his friends danced around in the waves. Wooyoung smiled to himself when he realised that this was now his lifestyle.

He had the best friends that anyone would wish for and an even greater boyfriend. He was happy. For once in his life ever since his parents had passed away, he felt safe in someone else’s presence. He couldn’t wish for anything more or less. He was lost in thought until he felt a kiss on his cheek so he looked up to his boyfriend.

San: You ok baby?

Wooyoung: Mhm, I’m just really happy

San: Me too

Wooyoung: I love you

San: I love you too

They shared a sweet kiss that only lasted a couple of seconds and they looked back to the sky. The sun had almost completely set and the stars had started to shine. Their friends all ran towards them and Wooyoung smiled.

Hongjoong: You 2 look very cute and warm there

San: There’s more towels and blankets in the back of the van

Hongjoong: Thank you

The others all dried themselves off and then wrapped themselves in the blankets. The couples all shared, hugging close to each other as the singles used their own. They all watched the stars and occasionally pointed out a star that they thought was pretty.

Seonghwa: We should do this again sometime

Wooyoung: Definitely. This place brings back some amazing memories.

Hongjoong: Wooyoung, tell us about your parents

Wooyoung: Why? You already know pretty much everything

Hongjoong: Please~

Yunho: Yeah Wooyoung, you have really good stories!

Wooyoung: How about we build a camp fire and then we can all share stories

San: Sounds like a plan to me

Jongho: Will there be marshmallows involved?

Seonghwa: Well, lucky for you, I packed some

Yeosang: Ok, let’s do it!

The boys all got to work with the campfire. Mingi, San and Jongho all went to find some logs to burn, Wooyoung, Yeosang and Seonghwa tried to make the fire and Yunho and Hongjoong went to go bring the food. After just less than 10 minutes, the campfire was done and they were all sat down, cuddling into their blankets and boyfriends.
