Chapter 61

-1 year later-

Hongjoong: Are the kids ready yet Hwa?

Seonghwa: I’m just putting Ji-yoo’s shoes on babe

Hongjoong: What about Jae-hwa?

Seonghwa: He’s ready

Hongjoong: Ok, we’re leaving in 2 minutes. The rest set off a while ago

Seonghwa nodded his head as he put on his daughter’s shoes. About 8 months ago, Hongjoong gave birth to a beautiful set of twins, one boy and one girl. Yeosang had also given birth to his daughter 5 months ago and he couldn’t have been happier. They were currently getting ready for a picnic in the park with the others but getting the twins ready was easier said than done.

Seonghwa: Ji-yoo, leave your shoes on

Ji-yoo giggled at her dad as she pulled her shoe of for the nth time. Seonghwa sighed loudly, causing Hongjoong to turn his head towards them.

Hongjoong: What’s wrong babe?

Seonghwa: Ji-yoo won’t keep her shoes on!

Hongjoong chuckled at his husband as he walked over to them. He quickly put on his daughter’s shoe and this time, she left it. Seonghwa looked at Hongjoong in disbelief as he picked up his son’s car seat. Hongjoong grabbed the other and they left the apartment.

After a short car ride, they arrived at the park and immediately saw their friends sat under a tree on top of the hill. They walked over with big smiles on their faces and sat down. They took the twins out of the car seat and laid them on a blanket next to Areum, Yeosang and Jongho’s daughter. The three of them started making baby noises as their parents and uncles watched them in awe of their cuteness.

Wooyoung: They’re so adorable

Yunho: I know, it makes me want a baby even more

San: We already have 3 at the apartment Yunho

Yunho: Your point?

San: Fair enough

Hongjoong: I can’t believe it’s been over a year already

Seonghwa: Me either, time flew by so fast

Mingi: It’s been fun though

Jongho: Especially with these 3

Yeosang: Yeah, they’re going to be such good friends when they’re older

Wooyoung: Do you think they’re going to be like us?

San: What do you mean baby?

Wooyoung: That they’re going to meet another group of best friends and then move in with them like what we did?

Hongjoong: I don’t know. They seem to not like many people though

Seonghwa: Yeah, whenever someone tries to talk or hold Ji-yoo, she starts crying

Yeosang: Same with Areum

Jongho: I feel like Jae-hwa is going to be the one that protects the other 2

Yeosang: At least we don’t have to worry about Ji-yoo or Areum getting hurt if Jae-hwa looks after them though

Everyone nodded their head as they all took a can of lemonade from the picnic basket Woosan had brought. They drank their drinks and spoke to each other as the babies played. They saw other couples walk past them with adoring smiles on their faces and the boys all smiled in return.

Suddenly, San stood up and walked over to Seonghwa. He whispered something into to his ear before Seonghwa smiled and nodded, standing up next to San. The rest of them looked at them in confusion as the 2 smiled widely.
