Chapter 21

VENUS POV

"HOW-YOU CHEATED-LITTLE SH-"

Twenty minutes into the drive, Marcelo, Mason, and Cali decided to play poker, somehow with a deck of cards Mason had and pennies Cali apparently 'found' in her pockets. The game had started off docile, with a couple of groans here and there but that was normal, until Cali started whooping their asses.

"No, I didn't cheat IDIOT you just SUCK AT THE GAME."

Yelling was all that you could hear for another ten minutes until Mason finally chimed in,

"I FUCKING QUIT. YOU'RE TOO GOOD AND YOU'VE ALREADY TAKEN 300 DOLLARS FROM EACH OF US."

Oh, did I mention that once they ran out of pennies, they somehow ended up betting their own cash? Yeah, Cali won it all.

All I heard was giggling from Cali before she offered the other boys if they wanted to play. Emiliano, Angelo, Luca, and Jordi said yes while the rest of the boys including Karri and I, sat back and watched amused.

Turning away from the little show to Karri, I realized I didn't have a clue where I was going.

"Uh...Karri where to?"

She just gave me a puzzled glance as she looked at the van's GPS.

"I feel like we should go to the hospital and check if they have any injuries, I know they said they didn't but some of them must have sustained some-uh mental damage..." she looked back to Emiliano who was now crying on top of JJ, sobbing about how a little girl stole 500 dollars from him.

Stifling a laugh, I nodded and headed towards the nearest hospital when I got a call from Juno. I was about to answer it when Karri somehow managed to pluck it out of my hand. About to protest, she pointed to the road and shushed me. All I could do now was listen.

"Hello hellooooooo...

I'VE BEEN GOOD HOW ARE YOU?

uh huh...

alright I'll tell her...

yeah, we're on the way to the hospital...

yeah, for sure...

ciao my love."

She hung up the phone and put it on her lap as she looked at me and smiled before yelling to Cali that Juno said Hi and that she loves her.

I stared at her waiting for an answer before she finally caught onto my look.

"OHHH YEAHHH...well she said that Carlos broke a couple ribs, and he sprained his pancreas? Or something like that...anyways, she said you should probably go and take care of him. Also, that she won't be able to take Cali because Gio asked her to do something."

Nodding, I looked into my mirror to see Cali staring back with a smile.

"Hey kid, do you mind if Karri take-"

"WE'LL TAKE HER." Emiliano and Jordi screamed at once.

With that, I pulled over and stopped the van so I could properly turn around in my seat without killing us all.
