I had just pulled up to the crowded racetrack when I spotted V and Junie away from the crowd, huddled next to two other girl's that I didn't recognize.
I just smirked as I swerved around the building crowd at the starting line and toward the girls cars.
I parked my car and walked out as I made eye contact with them.
Junie locked eyes with me and I saw a sliver of hope in them. I turned to V who was wearing a blank mask of emotion and her eyes were void of anything.
I almost broke down again but I regained my composure as I walked up to them with my hands in my pockets.

"Hey my loves, I'm glad you guys came." I flashed them a smile as I glanced at the people standing next to them.
"Hello?" I stared at the short girl that couldn't be older than 17 with a confused smile. I turned to the other girl who was staring at me with an equally confused face.
"Who's this?" The short girl looked me up and down pointing the lollipop she had in her hand at me.
"I'm their sister." "She's no one."
Venus and I say at the same time as I snap my eyes to hers. She didn't look at me as she said this rather, she was looking at Juno.
I sighed and dragged my hands across my eyes as I thought of something to say.
"Listen," I began to try and find the words to express my pain, "...I know I let you both down but I promise I'll make it up to you. I won't leave you both ever again. I know this may be hard to believe...but I didn't contact you because you would've been hunted down all your lives and killed. I was selfish enough to not want your blood on my hands so I walked away...I gave up." I let out a shaky breath as I looked back up at them. "I'm sorry. I truly am."
Venus just snorts and crosses her arms as she looks away from me. "Who were you running from huh?"
"Gideon."
She snapped her head to me and narrowed her eyes looking for something in them.
"Why was he after you?" Juno just looked at me skeptically.
"He found out I was alive and was afraid I would spill some valuable information, so he began to hunt me down and whoever I came in contact with would turn up dead not even a week later." My voice cracked at the end remembering the countless people that were dead left in my wake.
Looking back up at the twins, I could tell that they were in deep thought.
It was silent again before Venus And Juno made eye contact for the last time. They seemed to communicate with their eyes something before they both nodded and turned back to me.
