THALIA'S POV

"Run!" Gandalf yelled, as the orc pack closed in on their wargs. Too many things were happening at once. First moment you and the company are visited by a crazy wizard, next you are being chased by orcs. Yay.

"Stick together!" Gandalf said. He led us to a huge boulder sticking out of the ground, where we hid. Suddenly, they spotted us. "Run!" Gandalf repeated. "Quickly!" We all followed.

They had us surrounded. At that moment, Gandalf disappeared. " Where's Gandalf?" Dori yelled. "He's abandoned us!" Dwalin called.

I scanned the area. Wait, I've been here before. Then, I saw it. "Follow me!" I yelled. "This way!"

The dwarves looked at me with hesitation. "Come on!" I demanded, and I ran towards the cave. At the same time, Gandalf appeared at the mouth of the cave. "This way, you fools!" All the dwarves sprinted.

"Go!" Thorin yelled. He searched for anymore dwarves left. "Kili!" He called the dwarf. I stood outside the cave to make sure everyone made it inside. Thorin was the last one. "Let's go." he said, grabbing my arm.

"Wait." I said. And if as on cue, a horn's sound echoed through the plain. White horses appeared and arrows flew. "Yes!" I called. I waved my arms to get the elves' attention, but Thorin stopped me and pulled me in the cave.

"Hey! What are you doing?" I said, struggling to get out of his strong arms. "Let me go!"

"There a path that leads away. Do we follow it or not?" Dwalin said at the end of the cave. "Follow it, of course!" Bofur said. And all the dwarves began walking through the path. Thorin let me go but held onto my arm.

"Hey! Let go!" I yelled again.

"What do you think you were doing?" Thorin asked sternly. He looked straight into my eyes with a serious look. "They're elves. They can-" I started, but got cut off by Thorin.

"They can never help us!"

I stared in disbelief. "How could you think that at a time like this?" I asked. "They just saved your bloody life!"

"Never in my life, have I trust an elf. I demise them. They are filth!" he yelled at me, and tighten his grip on my arm. I winced.

"Hey! Thorin!" Bilbo said, snatching me away from Thorin, who was surprised enough to let me go. "She didn't anything wrong. Don't you ever handle her like that again." Bilbo pulled me with him towards the other dwarves, leaving Thorin behind.

"Thanks," I said, taking a breath. "He was starting to scare me."

"Me,too." was Bilbo's only response.

We finally made it and was amazed on what we saw.

"Rivendell." Bilbo breathed.

"How dare you bring us here." Thorin scolded at Gandalf. "They will try to stop us."

"Of course they will, but we have questions that need to be answered." Gandalf replied. And with that, we continued to the front gate.

It was just as I remembered it a couple days ago, about a week. I still haven't mention that I was half-elf and from Rivendell, but they are going to find out either way. I skipped towards the entrance with a happy smile on my face.

BILBO'S POV

Arriving at Rivendell was very breath-taking. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen. As I and the rest of the company walked down the path, Thalia went on ahead, skipping down the cobbled road as if she knew exactly where she was.

Soon, we got to the front gate. We passed under an arch with two stoned guardians on either side to get to a small courtyard. As soon as we stopped, a tall male elf made his way down the wide staircase.

"Lindir." Gandalf said, bowing to him. "I need to speak to Lord Elrond."

"Well, Lord Elrond is not here." the elf, Lindir, presumed.

"He isn't?" Gandalf said. "When will he be back?" And as if on cue, a familiar elven horn sounded through the valley. I turned to see a group of archers circling us.

Bofur pulled me back to where I was in the middle of the circle the dwarves made. "Hey!" Thalia yelled, as Kili pulled her in the circle along with me. "What is their problem?" she asked, annoyed.

Gandalf was greeted to an older elf . "Lord Elrond," he said. And then bowing again, he said something in a weird language. Probably elven. "Gandalf." Elrond said, lowering himself from his horse.

As they spoke, I saw at the corner of my eye Thalia slipping past Bombur and Fili. She walked right up to Lindir and gave him a hug! Lindir smiled and bent down to give her one. What's going on with her? I thought. All the dwarves were thinking the same thing according to their expressions. Especially Thorin's.

But it didn't stop there.

"Thalia?" Elrond said, walking past Gandalf and towards the little hobbit. "Is that you?" Then, he smiled and patted her on the head. "Back so soon already, I see."

"Lord Elrond." Thalia curtsied. "I suppose I'm back sooner than I thought I'd be." She had a huge smile on her.

"Thalia," Thorin said in a deep voice. Thalia faced him with a serious look.
"Yes, Master Dwarf?"

"Who are you?" Thorin asked. Everyone was silent as they awaited Thalia's answer.

"I'm Thalia Hazelwind. I'm half-elfing. And this is my home."
