THALIA'S POV

We charged towards the army of orcs. With two dual swords, a quiver full of 50 arrows, and a flexible bow, I sprinted along side Thorin and Kili. I let out a battle cry as I reached for my full on attack blade.

The two armies clashed and I cut every enemy that stood in my way. The dwarves were like a deadly wave of weapons destroying the filthy orc scum. I sliced and took defense and mazed around the bigger orcs to avoid their large clubs.

All we had to do was defeat this wave and charge for the city of Dale. But Thorin had other ideas. He, Kili, Fili, and Dwalin raced up the mountain to Raven Hill. Thorin let me ride behind him on the creature and we dashed up the side while slashing and cutting enemies.

"We are going to cut the head of the snake." As we climbed the mountain, I buried my face in Thorin's back, holding him tight.

BILBO'S POV

I saw her charging with Thorin.

She was fierce and strong as she struck down every enemy with her mighty sword. She also had her quiver and bow on her back. She was set for battle.

King Thranduil of the Mirkwood realm was arguing with Gandalf, and I stopped him to tell him the rallying dwarves.

Gandalf, being taller than me and seeing more, boasted with confidence. "He's taking his best warriors to cut the head off the snake!" But suddenly, his smiled dropped. "Thalia is with them." My heart sank a little. Please be careful, was all I could think at the time.

Then, Gandalf mentioned the ambush of orcs and goblins coming from the North. "Someone must warn them!" Gandalf argued with the Elf King. But Thranduil refused.

It's a trap, I thought, and my eyes widened. Thalia, Thorin, and Fili and Kili and Dwalin. They'll be killed. I raised my head. "I'll go." Gandalf denied me and began to walk away. My blood began to boil.

"Thalia and Thorin are up there! So are Kili and Fili and Dwalin!" I yelled. "They'll be killed if no one warns them. And I'm not going let that happen."

"They will see you and kill you." Gandalf said.I shook my head. "No they won't. They won't see me." I turned to walk away towards Raven Hill. "Bilbo! You do not have my permission!" Gandalf shouted at me. I stop in my tracks and rotated my upper body.

"I'm not asking for it." I said. "I'm going to save the ones I love." Then, I ran, slipping on the magic Ring as I turned the corner.

THALIA'S POV

There were sounds.

After reaching the top of Raven Hill, we defeated the remaining orcs and then searched for the leader, Azog.

As I and the dwarves looked, my ears were buzzing with noises coming from the North. I couldn't tell what it was, but it was getting closer.

We got to the edge of what seemed to be a frozen river and waterfall. Ice was at least half a foot thick. "He must be over there." Thorin pointed the other side, where the ruins was dark and seemed empty. "Fili," he called his oldest nephew. "Take your brother, search the ruins. If you see anything, do not engage." Fili and Kili nodded and headed out.

"Be careful, you two." I whispered.

Suddenly, I heard his voice.

"It's a trap!" Bilbo yelled, as he appeared from the stairs. Thorin's face lit up at the sight of him. But Bilbo wasn't wasting anytime. "We have to get out of here! Orcs from the North are coming in fast!"

I turned to Thorin. "What now?" Thorin placed a hand on my shoulder, and then turned to Dwalin, who had return from the perimeter check. "Goblin mercenaries. No more than a hundred."

"We can take them." Thorin said, and he gripped his weapon. I stashed my sword and readied my bow and arrows. Notching one, I shot the first two that showed their ugly snouts over the wall.

"We need to warn Kili and Fili!" I shouted, cutting down another goblin with my dual knife. Thorin slashed at two of the monsters and raised his head at me. "Go on, then!" he shouted. I was surprised at first, but then nodded.

Just as the last goblin was cut down, a terrifying voice echoed through the ruins from the other side of the frozen river. The four of us raised our heads as we watched Azog himself dragging Fili with his arms behind his back.

"This one dies first." he announced. "Then, the brother. Then I'm coming for you, Thorin Oakenshield!" He raised his blade and drove it right through Fili's torso.

"No!" I cried, and I fell to my knees, just as Azog dropped Fili's body down right in front of Kili. Thorin fought back a scream. Bilbo gripped my shoulders. Kili began to race up the steps towards the monster.

"No! Kili!" I cried, and rushed to my feet and sprinted across the ice. "Thalia!" I heard Bilbo calling me back. But I didn't stop as I readied my bow.

I can't lose him. Kili, Bilbo, Thorin, and the others. I can't lose any of them.

Meaning I'm going to have to kill the son of a bitch myself.
