"How about this one?" Natasha asked and held up a black, long-sleeved dress for Alyssa to see.

"Ooh, I like it. Put it on the pile."

This evening, Thor's farewell party would be held. Alyssa planned on going, since she had a pretty strong bond with the god of thunder. Alyssa found him hilarious, with the way of him simply not knowing how 'mortal stuff' worked, or when he talked about Jane, not even knowing where she currently lived. But Alyssa found it somewhat cute that Thor listened every time when she explained how music can be played over electronics, or when she just rambled on about her day. So yes, she was going to be at the party. And she needed advice, good advice, on the clothing she would wear.

So here she was, at 4:00 pm, running in and out of stores with Natasha while Happy was trailing behind them.

"So... anything new in the crush department?" the red haired asked her younger friend, sniggering at the face of annoyance she got in reply.

"No. But then again, I could ask you the same, no?" Alyssa countered, deftly noticing the faint blush that spread across Nat's cheeks.

"I don't think so," she answered with a forced smile.

"Nat, don't be like that. I'm sure he likes you too," Alyssa said kindly, rifting through a few cocktail dresses. Before Nat could question her, Happy walked up to them, several bright items of clothing in his arms.

"Hey, how about this? It's a nice color, I think," he said, turning over the garment, missing the numeral straps and very obvious lace details.

Natasha bit her lip as she giggled and Alyssa just shook her head with a grin.

"What? Is it wrong? I'm sorry, I never went shopping with your father so-"

"No, Happy," Alyssa laughed, "I appreciate you trying but I want you to take one good look at what you're holding right now."

With a confused look he held up the purple lace in front of his face, his eyes going big as he quickly put it down again and went back to where he found it, his face redder than Natasha's hair.

Alyssa was holding her side as she laughed, her laughter matching Nat's as they continued sifting through the many rows of clothing.

At one point they noticed the time and rushed back to the Avengers tower in order to get ready.

Alyssa was surprised to look in the mirror and actually find something presentable. She couldn't stare at herself long though, because even if it felt like five minutes to Alyssa, she was already running out of time.
