"Would you look at this we have our second official fight of the the school year and it's only the second day of of classes!" A voice boomed over the intercom, as what looked like half of the school, piled into the arena bleachers.

"Wow Charlotte doesn't play when it comes to promoting a fight does she?" Eliott laughed as he shoveled popcorn into his mouth. "I mean this match was only put together a few hours ago."

"No my sister and this school, are masters of promotion, especially when it comes to members of the Davenport family fighting each other." Eve sits down in front of me and Eliott.

"I didn't expect you to come to this." Eliott throws popcorn into the air, and fails to catch it.

"Normally these fights are far beneath me, but..."

"But most of these fights don't involve your best friend fighting the most dangerous person in our class." I cut her off, and she quickly turns her attention back to the arena floor.

Eliott tries to make another comment, but he's cut off by the sound of Ms. Charlottes voice echoing through the arena's sound system.

"Star City Academy!" She walks out on to the stage, and begins to speak again. "Today's battle will be Kaden Rhodes and Curtis Davenport of Class 1-1 against Hailey Reed and Annie Davenport also of Class 1-1." The arena crowd erupts in a series of cheers. "Combatants please make your way to the stage." All four of our classmates make their way to the stage, and you can clearly see each of their expressions.

Curtis has an intense anger filled expression. Annie seems full of confidence, smiling, waving, playing up the crowd. Keaden's gaze was as cold, devoid of any care, but Hailey, Hailey's face told a different story then the rest. She wasn't angery, she wasn't confident, least of all she wasn't calm. She looked scared, devoid of all hope, she looked like she was already defeated.

"There you are!" Jesse appeared in front of me. "I was being to wonder if you'd show up."

"Jesse he's been here longer than us." Dalton sat down behind Eliott and I.

"Anyways what's up with your friend? Isn't she usually, you know louder?"

"(Y/n) crushed her spirit."

"You did what?" Eve snapped.

"All I did was tell her how dangerous Kaeden is." Eve glares at me.

"He's not wrong, Ms.Whitehall." Dalton adjusted his glasses. "Since his older brother nominated me, I got a chance to train with them prior to the start of the school year." His eyes fixate on Kaeden. "And I got to see just how dangerous he truly is... he's the absolute last person in this school I'd fight."

"Oh man this guy must be tough if even, Dalton doesn't want to fight him." Jesse turns his attention to the stage. "This might not be that interesting of a fight after all."

"Don't count my Annie out just yet, there's a reason she's primed to be the next head of the Davenport family."

"She'd kill you if she ever heard you call her, your Annie."

Eliott laughed. "You're probably right, but it'd be the best few seconds of my life."

I roll my eyes and shake my head, and turn my attention back to the stage. I watch Annie and Hailey get ready to fight. You got this you two.
