Clinic & Lies

Kiah's POV

'What are you going to tell Zayn?' Lexi asked me

'I really don't know' I admitted. We were sitting on Lexi and Liam's bed, and to be honest I am glad no one else came up

'Well you are going to have to tell him something' she said

'Well what do I say?' I asked

'I really don't know' she said, using the exact words I used

'You don't have to tell him right away' she said

'What if the test was just wrong?' I questioned

'Then lets go to a clinic' she said

'Now?' I asked

'Yeah, just let me get dressed' she said

'I got no clothes' I said

'Use some of mine' she said. She went fooling around thru her closet and droars and then thru me a outfit

'You can take the bedroom, I'll get dressed in the bathroom' she said as she walked out. I put on the clothes that she gave me. She gave me light blue skinny jeans, a pink under-shirt and a grey shirt that goes over it. The grey shit went a bit past my waist, and the sleeves fell to the side of my arms. It was actually pretty cute. Lexi came out in grey sweat pants, and a sweater. I had no idea what shirt she was wearing, but the sweater I am pretty sure was Liams. She ran a brush thru her straight hair and then thru on Liam's flat cap.

'You really like his stuff' I noted

'Yes. Yes I do' she said with a chuckle. I ran a brush thru my hair and then put it in a messy bun

'Ready?' she asked

'Ready' I said with a sigh. To be honest, I was pretty worried

'Can we tell Liam?' she asked before we left

'Why?' I asked

'Cause I want to tell him' she said

'Sure' I said. We both quickly ran down the stairs into the kitchen

'Where are you guys going?' Lou asked. I am leaving this one for Lexi to answer

'We are going to the doctors' she said. My eye went wide. What the hell is she doing?!

'Why?' he asked, confused

'Because Kiah thru up' she said easily. I never thru up! But I guess we kinda gotta lie

'And she never gets sick, so we are just going to make sure she is ok' she added

'Liam?' she asked

'Hm?' he said

'Can you come with us?' she asked

'Sure thing' he said with a smile

'Again with my hat and sweater huh?' he asked with a chuckle

'Yes. I like them' she said as he put his arm around her waist and she rested her head on his shoulder. Well, a bit lower then his shoulder since she was shorter then him by enough.

'Ready?' Liam asked. We both nodded

'I call shot gun' Lexi said

'Fine with me. I get the back seat all to myself' I said. We ended up taking Liam's truck. We didn't really talk, we just listened to the radio.

'So what's the real reason we are going to the doctors office?' Liam asked. I was about to reply when Lexi blurted it out

'Kiah might be pregnant' she said

'Really?!' he asked

'Yeahh' I replied un easy

'That's great Kiah! You will make a great mom!' he said happily.

'Thanks Liam' I said. The ride to the clinic was very short. We all got out quietly and Lexi and Liam held hands while walking inside.When we got in, it smelt like old people. Harsh, but true. I took a deep breath

'Liam, can you go wait over there?' Lexi asked, pointing to a chair

'Sure thing' he said with a smile. Me and Lexi both walked to the reception area

'Excuse me' I said. The lady didn't move. She seemed like a snob

'HELLO' Lexi shouted rather loudly, getting looks from everyone. The look Liam gave her was priceless

'Yes' the lady said rather rudely

'We need to see a doctor.' Lexi said, faking nice, and it was obvious and kinda funny.

'What for?' the lady asked. Lexi sighed loudly and rolled her eyes. See, that's the thing about Lexi, she is so not afraid to do anything

'My friend here might be pregnant' she said. The girl looked at me and looked like she was judging me

'Don't be a bitch. No one asked you for your opinion so shove it lady. Now get us a damn doctor' Lexi snapped.

'Ok ok, calm down. The doctor will call her in in about 15 minutes. What is your name?' she said, turning to me

'Kiah Malik' I said

'Ok, well Kiah I will need to ask you some questions. Miss, you can go sit down' she said to Lexi. Lexi rolled her eyes and walked away and sat beside Liam, resting her head on his shoulder.

'So I have some questions' she asked. I nodded.

'Age?' she asked

'20'

'Are you sick, or have a cold?'

'No'

'Would this be your first child?'

'Yes' I said. She looked at me and gave me a smile, almost like to say ''Good, you aren't a slut'' . I chuckled at my own thought as she asked more stupid questions. She put on a bracelet on my wrist and I went to sit down with my friends

'So what are you going to do if you are?' Liam asked

'I really don't know' I replied honestly

'Are you going to tell Zayn right away?' he questioned as Lexi played with his hands

'Not right away. I would wait a couple days' I said honestly

'Well that's good I guess' he said. I nodded.

'Kiah?' the doctor said. I nodded

'Lexi you coming too?' I asked. She nodded lightly and walked with me

'Just have a seat here and the doctor will be in shortly' the nurse said. I nodded as she left. I sat on the bed as Lexi sat on the chair.

'Are you nervous?' she asked suddenly

'Yes! I feel like I am going to throw up, I am so nervous' I said

'Hun that could be morning sickness' she joked. I chuckled at her attempt to lighten to mood. Then a doctor came in who looked in his late 40's or early 50's .

'Hello Kiah. I am doctor Norman. I believe you are here because you think you are pregnant?' he asked politely. I nodded without saying a word

'Well we will run a blood test' he said with a friendly smile.

'Okay' I simply said. He made me take off my sweater and then he put a rubber band around my arm. He put some rubbing alcohol on my arm and then took out the needle

'I really don't wanna do this' I said lowly to myself

'You don't like needles?' he said as he got the needle ready

'Not really. I don't think anyone likes them, but I tend to hate them more then the average person' I explained

'Well it is just a little pinch. Count to 5 and it will be over' he said. I sighed inwardly and nodded. I looked away mainly because I hate the sight of blood and counted to 5. 1,2,3,4,5. By the time I opened my eyes the needle was already out of my arm and he was doing some random doctor shit

'Well, thats it. We wil call you in a week or so-depending on who runs the test- and we will call you as soon as we know' he said

'Thank you' me and Lexi both said

'Not a problem. Have a good day' he said. We both nodded and left the room

'Are you going to tell Zayn?' she asked

'Tell him what? That I MIGHT be pregnant?' I asked

'Yeah....' she said, unsure of what I was getting at

'No. Because if I am not I set him up for disappointment. I will wait for the call' I said

'Good point' she said as we reached the waiting room

'So how did it go?' Liam asked as he put a arm over Lexi

'We will know in a few days' I said

'That's good' he said. I nodded

'So home we go?' he asked. I nodded again, leaving me to my own thoughts. I just wish I was a kid again. Like, a 14 year old kid. I want to have no worries. Sure, I love my life right now. I am happily married, I have great friends, but I miss the old times. When we would go out bowling, or skating, or even just having a sleepover. And now, I might be pregnant. Like, really, this is crazy. I am only 20 years old, how can this happen to me? To be honest; I don't think I am really ready for this. It is kinda scary.

'Kiah we're at my place' Lexi said. I didn't bother to reply, I just got out of the car and walked inside

'Hey you' Zayn said to me as I walked inside

'Hi' I said. I felt horrible not telling Zayn, but it was for the best

'Are you ok?' he asked me. I guess it is pointless hiding things from him

'Yeah I'm fine. I just don't feel to well. Can we go home?' I asked

'Yeah no problem' he said. We said our goodbyes to our friends and we drove home in silence.
