Chapter Three: Disappearance

"Here ya are son," Sasha's father said, dropping Hans off at his horse. "Good luck out here."

"Thanks," Hans nodded. "It was nice to meet you."

"Pleasures mine," he responded, smiling.

Sasha turned to follow after Hans.

He held his hand up, blocking her.

"Hans?!" She gasped. "What are you doing?! We need to find the others!!!"

"I will," Hans said laying his hand against her face. "You need to go find Commander Erwin and Captain Levi and get us help!"

"But—!" Sasha gasped.

Hans leaned in kissing her. "That's an order."

Sasha leaned back frowning.

"Be safe," she urged.

Hans smiled. "Ain't I always?!"

"No!" Sasha retorted. "That's the problem!"

Hans chuckled getting on his horse.

"Well," he sighed. "You know me."

He galloped off as he headed toward Ragako.

"Get there safely, Sasha," he hoped. "Please."

Hans noticed a group of people riding on horses.

It was Gelgar's team.

"Guys!" Hans yelled he as pulled up next to them.

"Hans!" Reiner yelled. "Nice of you to join us!"

"We need to warn people!!!" Hans screamed. "There's a new Titan-shifter like Eren!!!"

They looked at him in shock.

"Wha—?!" They gasped.

Conny gritted his teeth in shock, galloping faster towards his hometown.

"Conny, slow down!!!" Reiner screamed. "Get ahold of yourself! There could be Titans around every corner! Wait for us!!!"

Conny ignored him riding into town, looking around.

The town was deserted, with no traces of anyone coming or leaving.

Some houses were collapsed as they looked in confusion.

"This isn't real..." Conny gasped, looking around.

Conny pulled up, stopping in the village center.

"Hello?!" He screamed out. "Can anybody hear me?! Somebody! Please! It's Conny! I came home!!!"

Conny's voice echoed through the village as no one responded.

"Find my house!" Conny screamed, taking off. "Mom, Dad, Sunny, Martin, please just be ok!!!"

Conny yelped, stopping his horse in front of his house.

A Titan laid on its back, its head hanging over the crushed house wall, staring at him.

Conny stared at it in horror.

The Titan didn't move, it just continually stared, its mouth hanging open.

"What are you doing?!" Reiner yelled, riding up. "Get back!!!"

"But it's—," Conny stuttered. "It's my house. I—."

"Conny," Reiner comforted. 

"Cadets fall back!!!" Gelgar ordered as we drew our swords looking at the immobilized Titan.
