The day after I awoke, I was greeted by many people, mostly Slytherins but some intrigued Ravenclaws. The teachers looked like nothing ever happened to me, but when I turned away they looked like I would fall out dead in the floor. I won't.
As I was walking out of the hospital wing the first day, Draco was walking with me, two people were standing outside smiling. They rushed up to me and I backed into Draco's steadying arm, "Hey Jesse, how are you feeling?" The girl said.
I felt Draco pull his arm tighter around my back comfortingly. I found my voice, "Who are you?"
They looked confused, "What do you mean? We're Ariana and Adrian. You know us."
I still didn't know how they knew me, they didn't look familiar. "Right, you were supposed to be my best friends, right?"
Ariana looked hurt but very angry, "Wha-"
Draco butted in, "Hey! She doesn't remember much, alright? Leave her alone."
Draco turned me around and we started walking towards the Dining Hall.
My legs still feel stiff by the time we reached the Dining Hall. I spotted Ellen and Blaine almost immediately, but right across from them Ariana and Adrian were sitting there talking. I can't sit over there, I told myself.
I don't think Draco wanted me to sit with anyone else cause he tugged slightly on my arm, towards him. I followed him to his seat. I think Ellen saw me cause she would sneak a worried glance at me every few minutes.
I couldn't eat much, I lost my appetite at breakfast when a few kids made fun of me. Draco didn't seem to notice that I wasn't eating, he was just chatting away to Crabbe and Goyle. Eventually, I saw my friends get up and leave, but I didn't move.
What am I going to do, I feel like I lost all of my friends. Except Draco, he has stood by me all last night and this morning, I guess he voluntarily missed his classes to be with me. Just then the seat next to me became occupied and looking over I saw it was Blaine, "Hey girlie, you need to eat." I shook my head, I wasn't hungry. "Oh, come on. You remember me, right?" I nodded, and he smiled. "Good, now come on, eat something." He looked around and picked up an apple, one of my favorite foods. He spoke teasingly, "Now this, this is one of your favorite foods, an apple."
I rolled my eyes at him, took the apple, bit it. He patted my back and stood to go leave.
