Red's Disastrous Life

Surprise

After the incident at the cafeteria, Red and Carl didn't get into any trouble because they both shifted the blame on the four guys. The four guys who started got expelled from the school and were sent to the farthest mental hospital. As the next period started, Red goes back to his class with an angry face for doing something that he shouldn't do.

The rest of his class becomes hell as he was stared at by most of his classmates. Even the second strongest student at the school Hilda is scared of him after beating up the strongest student. Somehow Leaf is still happy to be around him. 

As the bell rings, Red gets up and walks outside to find Carl waiting for him. Carl invited him to walk home and Red accepted his offer. Leaf decided to join them and she asked the two if she can join them. Carl is fine with that and Red just nod.

As they walk, Carl and Leaf were talking about stuff while Red just stays silent. Carl is Red's childhood friend until he moved out of Kanto. Then they split paths where Carl goes home alone while Red and Leaf just still walk together. Leaf feels uncomfortable with the awkward silence and tries to lighten the mood up.

"Red, wanna hear a joke?" Red just look at her with an annoyed face. "I'll take that as a no. Tell me a story please!" she begged him. Knowing she will keep on talking or being annoying, Red tells her "I'll tell you a story if you promise not to speak." Leaf's excited face turns into a disappointed face after hearing the story.

The story Red tells her is very short that leaves her unsatisfied. He only said "once upon a time there is a very ugly barnacle. He is so ugly that everybody dies. The end." "You promised not to speak." just as Leaf is about to say something.

Red just dropped her at her house and surprisingly, she lives near his house. as she enters, he just goes back to his house. Inside he found a note on the table. "Oh great, school has already turn into hell. Now I have to deal with this till next year."

The letter his mom wrote said "Red, our neighbor next door is a good friend of mine. They would like us to take care of their daughter while they are going for a year. I know you haven't got over the past but please be nice to her." 

Red decided to go to the roof and take a nap there since there is no one else at the rooftop of their house around the neighborhood. 

After 10-20 minutes of nap, he went downstairs and takes a shower before going to the living room to watch tv. The doorbell rings and then he goes outside to see Leaf with her luggage since she will live there for one year.
