2,000 words idk how long chapters usually are, but just in case.

Cheryl POV

I woke up this morning at like 8 because of someone banging on the door. I got out of bed and went over to the door

"Um, who is it?"
I said in my deepest man voice

"It's your mother, che- Madelaine"

I opened the door. To see my mom wearing a hat, covering her hair and part of her face.

"I said the wrong name"
She giggled

"Are you ok mom?"

"Yeah why?" She said making up my bed

"First of all I'm going back to bed and second, why are you so happy?"

"I don't know, I guess I feel like a weight has been lifted off of me from hiding for so long. I mean come on I just walked outside without getting shot"

"Yeah...ok"

"What's in the bag?"

"Don't freak out, it's hair dye."

"Hahahaha"
It didn't look like she was kidding though...

"mom stop"
I said with a serious face

"Your hair is too noticeable Cher"

"Will it fade at least?"

"I guess so"

"What do you mean you 'gUeSs So'. My hair"
I said stoking it dramatically

"Can I at least get one more picture?"

"Go for it"

I brushed my teeth and did my morning routine while my mom sat on the bed, smiling looking at her phone

"Who are you texting?"

She looked up at me

"No one?"

"Mmhm"

"Why do you think I'm texting?"

"You're smiling at your phone. That's what you ask everytime I'm smiling looking at my phone"

"Well.. I'm just happy today Cheryl"

"Okayyy"

I finished getting ready, throwing on a b-basic spring time outfit. The only clothes I packed are things I wouldn't wear in order to blend in jeans, hoodies, sweatpants things like that. I still make it work of course.

I went to grab my phone and saw Toni looking at the screen, probably scrolling through social media.

"Good morning"

"Good morning baby"
My mom said, still looking at her phone. Thinking I was talking to her

"Good morning to you too mom, but I was talking to Toni"

"Oh, good morning Antoinette"

She said something but I couldn't hear her

"You're on mute"

"Oh, good morning Ms. Blossom and you too Cher."

"I'm gonna take one last selfie with my red hair"

"You're dying it?"
