Harry didn't return for dinner.

Ethaline laid on the cold bed, the fire place in the room cracking lightly as she listened to Ron flip through a comic book Hermione had gifted him.

Ron glanced at her, "Penny for your thoughts?" He asked as Ethaline frowned.

"I don't know what that means."

Ron chuckled, "Its a muggle saying, Harry taught it to me. Basically I'm asking what you're thinking about and if you want to talk about it." He said as he closed the comic book.

Ethaline raised an eyebrow, "I'm not interested in receiving criticism." She huffed, "Why are all you Weasley's so caring."

Ron scoffed, "I don't care I'm just b-bored!" He stuttered as Ethaline eyed him suspiciously. "We've been trapped In here for two days after being poisoned but fine if you don't want to tell me—"

"Since you insisted!" Ethaline cut off, turning to face him, "I'm a little upset my brother almost killed me, even more upset I didn't die briefly so I could lure it over his head for all eternity."

Ron's eyes widened, "You're absolutely mental!"

"I prefer strategic." Ethaline clicked her tongue before sighing deeply, "What's it like having good siblings?" Ethaline asked suddenly, "A stable family?"

Ron furrowed his eyebrows, "Financially stable? We don't have that." He replied, "I remember first year your brother threw your wealth around made me feel terrible about everything I didn't have..." he recalled as he laid on his back and looked up at the ceiling.

Ethaline stayed quiet.

"But once I met your father I realized I may not have  the material things but I had something he couldn't buy." Ron said as Ethaline smiled a little.

"Love." She said quietly, "We couldn't buy love."

Ron nodded as Ethaline grabbed a pillow and put it on her face, a groan escaping her before she tossed it off. "I envy what you have Ronald Weasley." She admitted, "A good family—a caring family who doesn't try to kill you. With everything going on with Percy, your mother still continues to fight for him even if he doesn't believe in us."

Ron couldn't help but smile a little, "Yeah she is pretty great." He said before glancing over at her, "I never did thank you for defending my mum against your brother at the game."
