As I'm walking out of class with luna, She and I are talking.

"Who do you think will ask you?" Luna asks

"I hope it's not Theo," I reply

"Why on earth would Theodore Nott ask you?"

"No reason," I say shaking off the fact no one knows what happened between me and him.

"Well, I do hope ginny asks me, she's quite extraordinary"

"Oh?" I ask, laughing at how nonchalant luna admits her crush on our friend.

"Okay, but if it's not Theodore Nott, then who do you want to ask you?"

Without thinking I reply

"George"

I look around and see Fred standing there smirking

"WEASLEY YOU BETTER NOT SAY SHIT" I yell chasing after him while luna laughs.

"Promise me you won't say anything," I say tackling him

"Okay okay," he says laughing, normally he would make fun of me, but he didn't today. Weird

Luna catches up and we head to the great hall.

"Sit with me?" I ask

"Oh no, while that would be lovely, I'm hanging out with Cho"

I go and sit next to Madie, who has Cedric right next to her, and Syd next to him. I smile at SYD but they're too busy staring at George. Madie and I talk about stuff

"Who do you wanna go to the ball with Madie?" I ask with no hesitation

I laugh while she pesters me about who I wanted to take me, and I refuse. When all of a sudden, burning pile by mother mother starts playing. Then George jumps onto the table, holding a bouquet of lilium, which are red lilies. I stare at him, Fred and George are good but not good enough to plan this in a matter of minutes, which means Fred knew he was asking me.

"So, Black is that a yes?" He asks cocky and sure that I'm going to say yes, which I am but this man's ego needs to be taken down

"Nah, Madie and I were planning on going as bachelorettes, sorry tho," I say with a serious look on my face

"IM KIDDING ASSHOLE OF COURSE ILL GO WITH YOU" I laugh

We see McGonnagal walk in, he grabs my arm and we run out of there, we end up in the hall.

His tall lengthy figure over mine, his hand over my head as he stares at me with utter and complete awe

"Cat got ur tongue?" I ask jokingly

"Shut up," he says laughing.

"Celebratory prank?" I ask, in all honesty, I was a little too excited

"No, let's go back to the great hall, I wanna see how everyone reacted" he laughs

"Okay fine, your boring tho"

I walk in and I see Theo asking Madie to the ball. No. Theodore nott will not take advantage of my best friend.

"George, could you get me a glass of water?"

"Sure, are you okay?"

"Yeah, just thirsty" I reply

George leaves and I see Theo walking out, I grab him by the collar and push him against a locker.

"MY BEST FRIEND ISNT A PLOY FOR YOU TO GET BACK AT ME FOR SAYING NO" I yell at his face

"Calm down hot stuff, I like Madie"

"No, you don't. I'm sorry that you said I love you, after cheating on me, and I couldn't give a shot, but we aren't even soulmates, I thought you only go after your soulmate?"

"I changed my mind, plus we werent together, i didn't cheat" he replies, blunt

"Hurt Madie I dare you, Nott, " u say, shove him off and after leaving George comes with the water. He looks at my red fists and the tear stains in my eyes.

"Who did you argue with," he says

"I'm just gonna stop pretending around you and my mom" I laugh, he smiles for a minute like he thinks it's the best compliment ever.

"Theo," I say simply
