The hogwarts Express came roaring into the station. I was feeling the nerves now more than I had ever before. Draco said it was going to be fine as long as I stayed away from Potter which shouldn't be too hard seeing as I was a year year younger than him and Draco. At the manor Draco was always talking about Potter. How everyone thought he was so amazing. I asked him one time if he was in love and almost got my head shut in his door. I was dragged out of my thoughts by my mother kissing me goodbye and hurriedly shoving me toward the red scarlet steam engine. I felt Draco's cold hand grab me by the wrist and drag me towards the train.
"Hurry up Y/N. Otherwise you're going to be late for your own sorting ceremony." he chuckled.
He had always been an extremely good big brother and was very protective.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." I laughed as he dragged me along. After all this was his second year and he knows his way around better than I do.
"You can sit in my compartment that way you aren't alone." He grinned at me still dragging me along. When we reached his compartment there were already a couple people there. A small black haired witch who looked at Draco as if he was her whole world.
"Ah." she sighed "This must be Miss Y/N Malfoy." She said with an ere that gave me the feeling that she held herself over everyone else.
"Well aren't you a pretty little thing." A tall dark wizard said looking me up and down
"Watch yourself, Zabini" Draco snarled in his direction. I blushed and looked down, my long blonde almost silver hair making a curtain covering my pale face. I looked up to Draco's livid face turning bright red and I knew I was the only one who could calm down my brother when he was in this state.
"Dray." I said with a touch of warning in my voice sounding exactly like mother. He whipped his head around.
"Y/N you are eleven years old. If one of my friends starts hitting on you, I will kill him with my bare hands." He growls murder showing in his eyes.
"Draco he didn't hurt me he was simply giving me a compliment. Now for you." I said looking at Zabini. "Talk to me like that again and I'm not holding him back. Got it?"
"She's a Slytherin if I've ever seen one." Zabini drawled. Draco looked at me pleading with his eyes, but I only held his arm and picked him onto the train seat across from me.
"I need to know everyone's first names, if you please." I said.
"This is Pansy, Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle." Draco said pointing everyone out. "Nobody calls them by their first names." He said inclining his head in the direction of the two boys who were shoving their faces with pumpkin pasties. "Everyone this is Y/N Malfoy, my little sister, and I will kill anyone who looks at her the wrong way" he said with a pointed glance towards Blaise. I shrugged of the threat knowing he would make good of his words.
"Dray." I looked over at my still seething brother "I need to go to the bathroom."
"It's down the hall, Y/N/N."
"Okay thanks." I walked down the hall to where he said the bathroom would be when I heard foot steps behind me.
"Hello lovely." I heard the husky voice of Zabini
"What do you want Zabini?" I asked scowling at him
"I think you know, Love." He said coming towards me. I started to get scared.
"Draco!" I screamed, Zabini lurched trying to cover my mouth but it was too late. Draco came crashing through the doors of our compartment, wand out and pointed directly at Zabini.
"Malfoy" he gasped arms raised to protect his face although it was no use.
"You filthy half-blood." Draco screamed wand still raised "Didn't I tell you to stay away from her? Didn't I?" He was still screaming and at this point people started pouring out of different compartments to see what was going on. When they saw Draco with his wand raised, me hiding behind him, and his arm raised protecting me. A lot of wands were raised to point at Zabini as they could clearly see that Draco was not in the wrong.
"Hey!" I yelled. Nobody listened. "Hey!" I yelled louder this time. All eyes turned to me. I looked at Zabini.
"Tell them what you did." I said looking at Blaise. He just looked back at me. I lifted one eyebrow. "Tell them. What you. Did." I said slowly.
"I followed Y/N Malfoy to the bathroom." He mumbled
"Louder." I said stepping closer to him.
"I followed Y/N Malfoy to the bathroom. " He said louder, branding himself as a predator.
"Okay. Now stay away from me." I said pulling Draco by the arm. His wand was still raised.
"If you come near her again I will kill you, Zabini, and nobody will be able to stop me." Dray growled. When we got back to the compartment Pansy was looking at me in shock.
"Nobody has ever stood up to Zabini before." She said shocked "That takes guts, Malfoy." She turned her attention to Draco. "Sure she won't be in Gryffindor?" She smirked up at him.
"I'm in no mood for that kind of language, Parkinson." He scowled.
"Dray." I said deep in thought "Would you hate me if I was in Gryffindor?"
"Of course not Y/N/N. I could never hate you, not even if you were in my rival house. You're my little sister I will always love you and always protect you."
"Promise?" I asked tears filling my eyes at the thought of losing my big brother.
"Pinky." He said back holding up his hand and crooking his little finger. I chuckled and wrapped my finger around his wiping away the tears that had fallen on my cheeks. Just then the train stopped. My eyes widened and my heartbeat sped up. We had arrived.
