Hogwarts

"Dray, please don't leave me." I pleaded with him as we were leaving our compartment.
"Y/N/N we have to separate for a little, but don't worry I won't be far. You're just going to go across the lake on the boats with Hagrid. I will never admit it but Hagrid is one of the nicest people here. He is groundskeeper for Hogwarts. I'll see you in the great hall after you get sorted into your house. Everything will be okay." He stopped down to my height and and tucked my hair behind my ear, "It will be okay."
Tears started to well up in my eyes. Dray was still bent down to my level and he wiped the tears off my cheeks.
"No none of this," he smiled at me "What are we Y/N?"
"Malfoys." I took a shuddering breath "And we don't cry." He shook his head a little.
"I've always hated that saying." he muttered to himself "It's okay to cry little one," he said looking at me "You just have to pick yourself up once your done."
"Is that why I hear you crying at the manor at night sometimes?"
"I- I didn't realize you could hear me. I'm sorry."
"No it's okay." It was my turn to comfort him this time.
"Okay Y/N/N. You need to go now, little one." I smiled at him despite my fear.
"First yers follow me!" a gruff voice called over the racket of everyone.
"Bye Dray! I love you!" I smiled at him over my shoulder and waved.
"I love you too." he called waving back at me.
I rushed to the boats and got in one with a beautiful red head and a pretty blonde both looked just as nervous as I was.
"Hello." The blonde said to me in a curious sing sing voice "You are quite beautiful looking, aren't you?" she said cocking her head to the side.
"Well I don't know. Thank you, I think. " I replied
"I'm Luna Lovegood." she said in her sing song voice. "And this is Ginny Weasley."
"Hello." Ginny said
"Oh." I said alarmed "You're a Weasley?"
"Yes. Do you have a problem with that?" she said looking me up and down.
"No, but once you know my name you won't want to be in the same boat with me."
"I'm sure that's not true. " Luna said with her big eyes not looking at me but through me.
"I'm Malfoy, Y/N Malfoy."
"Ah" Ginny said slightly disgruntled.
"Well that name doesn't mean anything to me." said Luna
"Well you seem nicer than your brother I guess." Ginny sighed
"My brother is not that bad." I snapped "In fact he is one of the sweetest most kind people I know. He always protects me you surely must have seen what happened in the train."
"Oh that Zabini, he didn't make the best first impression in my book. Although he might have been infested with Nargles that made his brain all fuzzy." Luna remarked quietly.
"Oh!" I exclaimed excitedly "You must read the Quibbler too!" Luna's mouth dropped open a little bit when I said that.
"My father is the editor!" she exclaimed.
"I love to read them! Of course, I have to hide them under the floor boards because my father disapproves, but I love to read them so much that I have to keep them them and read them over and over again. It's one of my sources of happiness. Along with my brother, Draco of course." I said glaring at Ginny. She opened her mouth to say something, but I looked I we her shoulder and gasped. The castle had come into view and it was beautiful. The lights reflected off of the lake in such a way that made everyone gasp in wonder.
"Welcome to yer new home." the groundskeeper said with a gigantic smile through his mat of a beard. I looked around and saw that every single first year had the same expression on their face. Curiosity, fear, happiness.
