Y/n's POV
I was pissed at Miya for telling them ADAM was my brother because now, SHADOW and Reki won't stop bugging me and asking questions.

"I told you I don't wanna talk about it!" I yelled as we walked into the restaurant Kojiro owns, "Guys, sit where you find comfortable," Kaoru said and Kojiro glared at him, "Hey! Why are you using my place without permission?"

"Apparently, he wants to win against ADAM," Kojiro sighed and looked at Langa, "You saw how ADAM skated, didn't you?" Langa nodded at his question. 

"Then don't act foolish—" Kojiro got interrupted by Langa's, Reki's, and MIYA's stomachs that growled for food. SHADOW slammed his hand against a table "Five bowls of ramen!"

"This is an Italian restaurant," I growled, and Kojiro sighed. They ordered what they wanted and it was my turn. Kojiro hands me the menu but I only pushed it away and shook my head, "I'm not hungry, sorry Kojiro," I said and he looked at me. He sighed. "Wanna help me in the kitchen then?" He asked and I smiled with a nod.

"Starting now, we'll be recreating how the Love Hug works., Kaoru said and stepped onto the skateboard "Why me?" Kojiro sighed

"Start with maximum acceleration in the direction of travel... and using a spin, so a 180 with minimal turning radius. The important part is what follows. Right after the 180, you forcefully bright down the nose you lifted, and by still doing so, you still have propulsion even going uphill. And due to the sudden change in relative speed... it looks like Adam suddenly approached you. Hello," Kaoru said and stood right in front of Kojiro who mumbled, "You're too close," 

"I see," Reki said.

"It's simple once you know what the magic trick is," Miya said and Kaoru backed up from Kojiro.

"However, it's not that simple in reality. To give the illusion of persecution, you must always keep your opponent straight in front of you," Kaoru explained

"You can't shake your body at all... you don't decelerate, and you do all of it in that one instant," Langa whispered and we all looked at him.

"But this is the end of Love Hug, right?" Reki asked and I nodded

"Reki..." Reki looked up from the ground to see Kojirō's fist stop right at his forehead but stopped immediately before he touched his skin.

"That was your name, right? Even if you know it, your body will still react. It's not that easy, you know." Kojiro explained. Reki sighed, "Then, what can he do? We just confirmed that ADAM is some amazing guy,"

Langa and I dropped off Reki and he got off the bike and let go of my waist, "Thank you"

"I started skateboarding because I had a friend who asked me to pick it up with him. But he got injured really badly... and he quit skateboarding. I don't wanna experience something like that again! So I'm beggin' ya... Don't skate against ADAM!" I looked down, my hair covering my e/c eyes as I listened to Reki.

"At first, I was furious. That he'd gone too far. But now, it's not just that." Langa said and I looked up a little from my lap.

"I'm thinking if I wanna skate against ADAM. I can't really put it into words well, but it's like I've already taken the first step. Like something lit up." Langa said and we looked at him. Langa smiled at us "It'll be fine"

"How do you know it's gonna be like that?" I asked and he looked over his shoddiest at me, "Because even if I got injured, I wouldn't quit skateboarding. So it's gonna be all right." Langa said and I smiled a little. My eyes watering a bit.

Reki's eyes lightning up little by little. "You promise?" He asked

"I do," Langa held out his pinky and I giggled, "Are you a kid?"

"This is how grown-ups do it," Reki held up a hand, Langa high-fived him and then turned into fists and they were about to meet but Reki dodged Langa's hand and he held his fist to his heart. Langa looked down at it before looking up at Reki and he smiled at us "Don't be reckless." We said and he smiled at us, "Yeah..."

☾ The night of the beef ☽

3rd POV
Y/n walked over to the others with Reki and Langa beside her.

"So, you're here," SHADOW said and she stood beside him and MIYA "Where's ADAM?" Reki asked and Cherry looked the other way "Not yet."

"Is he gonna pretend like this is the Battle of Ganryujima?" JOE asks and Langa looked confused "Ganryu—"

"You know, Ryoma Sakamoto..." MIYA and Y/n looked at Reki, "It was Musashi Miyamoto."

She corrected him "How embarrassing" MIYA comments and realization kicked Reki in the face. "That was a joke, okay?" He defended himself before loud cheering was heard.

They looked to the ground as a red carpet was being rolled over to them and ADAM skated over.

"ADAM..." Langa whispered when the man stopped in front of them and he hands a bouquet of roses to him, "This is a sign of our acquaintance. These flowers symbolize... "passionate love."

"Thanks," Langa said and took the flowers. Reki and Y/n sweatdropped, "You're accepting that?"

ADAM looked over at Y/n and she glared his way, he was about to say something when they heard someone clear their throat and saw it was Cherry and JOE that now stood beside Y/n in some sort of protection.

"Oh? Are you guys on their side?" ADAM asked as he turned his whole body towards JOE and Cherry.

"Who knows?" JOE said, glaring.

"You're the one who passed ways from us first." - Cherry

"Was it so?" ADAM asked and Y/n looked at Langa. "Langa..." she whispered and he smiled down at her,

"I'll be careful."
