ADAM and Cherry stood by the line to have some words before the race.

"I've been waiting for this day," Cherry said but ADAM had the same boring expression.

"I didn't want to fight you."

"You've been dodging a beef against me for the longest time."

"Oh, have I?"

"Don't act dumb!" Cherry said when JOE and L/n ran over "Cherry!" JOE called and the pink-haired male looked at him. Y/n elbowed the green-haired and he opened his mouth to say something but hesitated, Cherry huffed "Loser gorillas can stand down,"

"What?"

"If you're talking about ADAM, I'll defer him right now, so you can watch from there."

"If you lose, I'll laugh at you, wimpy four-eyes."

"Don't get frustrated and start working out a muscle-brain gorilla," Y/n sighed and shook her head "So... does your skit go on for a while longer? It's almost time for us to start."

Y/n looked up at Cherry, "Be careful,"

"He's not the ADAM he used to be," JOE said and Cherry ruffled Y/n's hair in the assurance of being careful. "You don't need to tell me that."

The lights turned green and the two ran at a demonic speed and jumped onto their boards as they went off. They skated even with each other, causing the public to watch in surprise.

☾ ADAM & Cherry blossom ☽

"Carla, what about the next corner?"

"15 meters ahead, 30 degrees. 10 more seconds."

"I can't wait that long," ADAM murmured and skated off but soon enough, he turned and skated towards Cherry with his love hug.

Cherry closed his eyes, "Carla, count it."
"Entry angle, 11 degrees. Three... Two... One..." Thanks to Carla's countdown, Cherry managed to dodge ADAM and skated past him.

As they came to a bigger corner, Cherry bumped into ADAM's board, causing him to look at Cherry "I'll see for myself... what your heart feels! If you really have changed from those days when we first met! Every day felt like a festival. Everyone was enchanted by you. And you pulled us along. And we forgot about time." Cherry said and skated a bit ahead of ADAM who pull back. "Just as I thought! I know your true self! Carla, high-speed mode!"

"Okay, Master. High-speed mode." Carla repeated and the tail of the board moved up a bit to make it go faster. "I'm not an opponent you can win against if you're showing mercy like that!"

"Surface clear. Entry angle, 11 degrees." Carla said and Cherry skated around the corner at the perfect angle. "Recommending Type, Long," Carla said and the skateboard became longer. "Air resistance increased by 4%." Carla continued and Cherry continued to skate ahead of ADAM.

"He wasn't someone to skate so dangerously like that. He wants in the past." JOE said and Miya looked at him "Then, why?" 

"Who knows?" Y/n said and JOE nodded "It's just that... I don't like what he is now,"

☾ ADAM & Cherry blossom ☽

"Carla, Type, Short!" Carla transferred it back to normal as they were about to approach the abandoned factory when ADAM suddenly skated ahead of Cherry.

'Is he gonna make love hug here?' Cherry thought when ADAM danced around on his board. "ADAM... you can't take me down!" He whispered and without looking at the pink-haired man ADAM said, "You're too optimistic, Cherry." Before he jumps off his board, picks it up and turns to run toward Cherry.

He uses his board to violently assault his now shocked target and smacked it into his face.

Everyone that watched looked away. Y/n hid her face in JOE's side as he held an arm around her shoulders and narrowed his eyes at the scene.

☾ ADAM & Cherry blossom ☽

Cherry was now laying on the ground, unable to continue. "As always, your skating has no surprises. It's over-calculated, so it never crosses the line. Let me reach you. The reason why I didn't respond to your beef... was simply because it was boring. In comparison... SNOW! You are truly wonderful! You should be able to go together with me. Because you are the one I found... EVE!"

Langa stared at the screen, "EVE"?" He asked silently as he watched JOE and L/n run towards where ADAM and Cherry were.

"Kaoru!" JOE and L/n yelled and ran over to their friend "Hey, get a grip on yourself!" JOE said as Y/n looked him over.

"I thought I could have a little fun... but Cherry was really boring,"

"ADAM, you son of a—" JOE said but got interrupted when SHADOW's car drove over "Hop in! Right now, it's more important to eat at a hospital!" Kojiro picked Kaoru up bridal style and walked over to the car when he noticed Y/n didn't come with them.

"Y/n." He said and the girl stood up, hair covering her eyes as she walked over to ADAM and laid the world's loudest slap to his face. Everyone gasped and Y/n looked up at him, "You're sick! I'm regretting having you as my brother." She said loudly and people around them began to whisper.

She took her skateboard and told SHADOW to drive Kaoru to the hospital as she skated towards the start line where MIYA and SNAKE were about to start. "Do your best, MIYA!" She yelled and he send her a small smile before the lights turned green and they started. Miya had a hard time catching up to the so-called SNAKE and y'all can guess who won.

After a short while. Y/n was up against M/n. Y/n should have been coming with JOE and SHADOW to the hospital but she had this stupid race so she decided to go see Kaoru as soon as she was done here.

"Break a leg, L/n!" M/n said and Y/n smirked, "You too." They took their positions and the lights turned green. And they skated off.

Y/n walked into the hospital and saw JOE and SHADOW. She ran over "How is he?" Kojiro smiled at her, "He'll be fine." Y/n let out a relieved sigh and sat down in a chair, covering her eyes with her hands.

Kojiro and Hiromi looked at each other and then at her. Kojiro crouch down and held a hand on her shoulder and that's when she broke down and let out a small sob.

Kojiro looked at her with a concerned look but didn't say anything as he brought her into a hug and she clenched his jacket tightly "Y/n?" 

"I was scared... The whole time I was racing M/n. I was scared Kaoru was badly injured,"

Hiromi and Kojiro smiled at her and Kojiro petted her head "It's okay. He's alright now," 

"How did the race with M/n go?" Hiromi asked and Y/n sniffled as she tried to wipe away her tears "I won." The two men smiled at the girl;
