I turned to see... Reki.

I smiled at the boy before me and held out my hand for a fist bump. He reached out his hands but didn't fist bump them, instead, he grabbed my hand and dragged me toward his body. My head landed on his chest and I blushed.

"Y/n... You know... Ever since our first year of High-School... I kind of like you."

"Kind of?" I asked with an arched brow and Reki scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah... um... What I'm trying to say is that... I really, really like you and... I wonder if you would go on a date with me?" I smiled and nodded, "I would love to, Reki, you idiotic slime."

"Hey!" Y/n laughed and skated off and Reki let out a chuckle before skating after her.

"What happened on your first date?" Y/n smiled "Well. We watched the sunset. He took me out for dinner. We skated and joked around... And to my surprise, and don't tell him that I told you about this... but he actually took me out to dance and he actually was good at it." D/n giggled as she imagined her dad dance.

"Hey, I have some good moves." Y/n and D/n turned to the door to see Reki standing there. D/n jumped up and down in bed before jumping up in the air and Reki caught her quickly. "Hi, D/n."

"Hi, dad! Mommy was telling me a story!"

"Oh really? What story?"

"Our story," Y/n answered.

"Ah... By the way, about your brother, I think he still hates me,"

"And why is that?"

"He always gives me this 'you touch her, you're dead' look," Y/n snickered and stood up and walked over to Reki and their daughter "He's just protective over me. That's all."

"Yeah. I know. I remember when he sneaked after us on our movie knight."

"I just confessed that we were dating and he flipped. It was the funniest I have ever seen."

"Hey, not as funny to see him trip up." Y/n giggled "I actually feel a bit bad for him." She said and rocked her 6-year-old in her arms and laid D/n down on the bed.

Y/n and Reki turned to their daughter who grabbed a hold of Reki's finger. He smiled, remembering the day she was born, and laid a small peck on her forehead, "Goodnight, D/n."

"Goodnight..." D/n didn't continue as she fell asleep and the two adults walked out of her room. When Y/n closed the door, she felt two arms go around her waist and she turned to Reki with a smirk as she hugged his neck.

"Reki. D/n is home."

"Then we can just-" Y/n pressed a finger to his lips to shut him up and she smiled at him.

"Tomorrow. It's your day off. We leave D/n with your mom and we have all day for ourselves," Reki smirked "Sounds like a plan." He said and kissed Y/n's lips. Y/n kissed back.

They parted and they walked towards the living room. Reki sat down on the couch and let out a sigh "Something wrong?"

"I'm not looking forward to her growing up." Y/n giggled and handed him the remote "Not me either. But she can't be our little princess forever."

"Why not!"

"Because... she has to learn how to live. With or without us. She'll always be our daughter but we can't always protect her. She has to spread her wings someday and leave the nest,"

Reki sighed "I know." Y/n kissed his cheek and ruffled his hair "Don't think so much of it. Live in the present. Not in the future." She said and walked into the kitchen. Reki smiled as she walked off.

"You're right... as always." He said with a small laugh and Y/n looked out from behind the wall "What was that?"

"Nothing,"

"Sure..." she said and rolled her eyes. Reki smirked, "Love you, Ice Queen!"

"Love you too, Slime"
