Chapter 4: The last few days

Knock knock knock

"Go awayyyyyy...." Will groaned as he rolled over to his left side and threw the covers over his head. The door swung open and hit the wall, Will groaned sinking even deeper into his bed. El pulled the covers from the end of the bed and down on the floor.

"Come on Will, get up. There's only 2 more days until Mike and Nancy leave, we've got to seize the day."

"You're seizing my sleep, get out."

"No, get dressed and downstairs in 10." El walked out of the room and shut the door. She walked down the stairs to find Mike, Jonathan, Nancy, and Joyce all sitting at the kitchen counter.

"So Mike how's school?" Joyce asked as she poured herself a glass of orange juice. Mike sighed as El sat down next to him.

"It's ok, nothing special. Dustin messes around and Max and Lucas fight. Just the usual, Lucas joined the basketball team. But the classes are good."

"Well that's good sweetie. What is your guy's plan for the day?" Mike looked at El as she shrugged her shoulders. Will came down the stairs leisurely.

"Will, what do you want to do today?"

"Sleep."

"That's not an option, pick something else."

"Ummm... there's always the beach. We haven't been there yet and i know that Jonathan's been wanting to go." He said as he sat down next to Joyce.

"That's a great idea, Jonathan and Nancy you guys can go and take them right?." Joyce said. Jonathan looked at Nancy and she shook her head yes.

"Cool, we'll leave in an hour." Jonathan said standing up and dragging Nancy upstairs. Mike stood up,

"Will get ready, we'll meet you back down here in let's say 40?" Will shook his head and Mike and El scurried up the stairs. El closed the door behind her with her foot as Mike sat on her bed.

"Did you bring a swimsuit?" El sat down on the opposite side of the bed. Mike shook his head no

"I'm sure Will has an extra, want me to ask?"

"It's ok, i'll go ask, go ahead and get ready." Mike said as he stood up. He kissed her quickly and walked to Wills room.

"El come on let's go." Jonathan said knocking on the door.

"Actually could you ask Nancy to come in here i have a question for her."

"Sure?" Jonathan asked a little confused but nonetheless asked his girlfriend to go in. Nancy knocked on the door asking to come in and walked in.

"What's up El?" Nancy said closing the door behind her. El stood in front of her full length mirror in her two piece swimsuit that Joyce got for her.

"Do I look ok? I haven't worn it before so i don't know." Nancy walked up behind her and started playing with Els hair.

"You look beautiful El, don't stress about it. I'm sure Mike will think the same."

"Are you sure, because before we came here Max had all these magazines with girls in swimsuits like these and i don't look like that. I mean what if Mike has all these expectations and i can't live up to them. I just don't know."

"El come sit down." Nancy said directing her to the bed.

"Those magazines aren't real, it's fake. They edit it to make the models took skinner and more fit to what society calls beautiful. El, you have to know that every single person has flaws even the people in the magazines they just edit them out. You are absolutely beautiful, it might take some time to realize it but you are. People are going to put pressure on everyone especially girls, that they are skinny enough or pretty enough, but you can never please those people. They will never be satisfied, they will constantly find something to pick apart so you have to learn to be content with yourself." El sighed as Nancy held her hand.
