Dead By Daylight Chapter XIX: Masquerade of Lost Souls (DBD x Fnaf)

Intermission - Michael

I fell down onto the ground. The campfire.

I was here again. Death really wasn't an option, huh?

I looked to my left, and found Charlie just staring at me.

Wait.

Charlie.

I immediately shot up, checking her, "Are you okay? Are you hurt at all?"

She shook her head, smiling at me, "I'm fine. Even though I did recently die again."

I immediately hung my head in guilt.

"Ah, don't worry about it, Mikey! You tried your best!" Charlie smiled, hugging me around the neck, "Besides, it doesn't matter how many times you let me die, I'll still love you regardless!"

I paused, then smiled at Charlie, "Thanks, Charlie."

I hugged her back.

I then spotted Laurie smirking at us slightly further in the woods.

"Hey, Laurie, can the killers kill survivors by their own hand?" I asked.

She frowned, "Yeah, but I don't think your killer burned a Memento Mori."

Charlie frowned, "How many perk slots did he have?"

I tried to recall the screen I saw after I died.

"I think he had three." I said.

"Two of them must've been his perks then, because we found his entry in the Killer's Manual. One of his perks allows him to kill survivors if they stun him too many times. Another allows him to see scratch marks of walking survivors, even though we usually don't leave scratch marks unless we run." Charlie explained, motioning for Laurie to show me the manual.

I scanned his perks.

"Goddammit." I muttered, "I think he also had, uh... Hex: Ruin as well."

"You managed to recognize the symbol, huh? Impressive!" Laurie commented.

I shook my head, "I only knew what he had because Dwight explained it to me."

Laurie sighed, "Well, you should go back to the Workshop Inventory, get some more perks and items. By the way, what do tasers do?"

I raised an eyebrow, "You didn't read the instructions?"

Laurie shrugged, "I thought you could explain it to me since I wasn't going to use it either way."

I groaned, "It basically is a weapon for you to stun the killer with, but don't use it too much, they will get used to the shock after a while."

Laurie nodded, "Alright, thanks."

I headed over to the Workshop Inventory with Charlie and switched out my perks once more, and also bought some more perks and items from the bloodweb.

I ended up unlocking my third perk slot, which prompted me to use all three of my perks. Two of them are green, the last one is blocked.

Charlie also unlocked her third perk slot. She inserted her third and final perk in said perk slot.

We looked at each other, and grabbed a taser each.

"In case I don't get to see you again for a while..." Charlie muttered, "I wanted you to have this."

Charlie leaned forwards, and our lips collided.

I was shocked for a while.

But then I managed to recover from my stupor. I relaxed.

When Charlie pulled away, I could see that she was on the verge of tears.

"I love you, Mikey. I love you so much..." She sobbed, "But when I think of this situation that we're in..."

I smiled, "Don't worry. I'll find a way to get us out of here. I always do."

We kissed once again, as the black mist took us away.
