So, our dear orphaned ghost child. Ethan White, what a coincidence, he has albinism, the bitch is a goat man. He has three parents, Alec, an accidental arsonist who accidentally burnt down their school when they were fourteen, accidentally brought some dead animals back to life and may or may not have committed tax fraud, they say it's fine because "be they do crime" , Addison, a basically immortal trans woman of colour who poisoned her stepdad when she was twelve because her mom couldn't get a divorce at the time and the man was being a not so great husband, and Matt, his dad. He's just his dad. He likes to bake. And gardening. And archery.

Ethan's biological mother died in a fire when he was twelve (haha Alec is innocent this time). She was the only family he had that didn't absolutely despise him other than his dad, and his dad was kind of missing, the bitch went for a hike to explore new frontiers and no one has seen him for thousands of years, and she was kind of shitty anyway. He came home from school one day to find a pile of ashes. A really big pile of ashes. Then he just kind of ran, he lived way outside of town and there was no way of saving his house anyway.

Two years later, ghost child is fourteen now, he's been freaking homeless for a year and a half, nobody has noticed somehow. Then he just gets stabbed. Something to do with people getting revenge for their parents by killing the person who wronged them's child, Ethan isn't too sure, he was too busy bleeding to listen.

So now he's just bleeding on the side walk in the cold, ready to die because he can't move he'd just been stabbed and he's losing lots of blood and it's making his body all weak and shit, there's no way he's going to be able to do anything. Luckily for him, Alec came across his dying self, and thought "shit there's a dying child" so they stole him and took him inside cuz he was dying and what else were they supposed to do, take him to a hospital? Heck no, they're an accidental arsonist, they committed marriage fraud in their early twenties so they're technically not really legally allowed there, they ran when they accidentally burnt down the tree by their local police station and have done some shady things, tax fraud and bringing back the dead, bitches. If they just show up the doctor's gonna be like "oops well looky here a wanted criminal" then they'd get blamed for the dying child and just- no, bad idea.

They take him to their house and barged in the house looking for their girlfriend because this gal's a witch, she's a trans woman, and as we all know trans people are magic (Avada kedavra bitches ). Anyway, this gal, she's like "man I love you but you seriously need to stop bringing children in our house" and she's like "aight you bastard, I can't bring him back to life because look at that, he's dead, but I can prevent his soul from leaving his body and you can just make the dude somewhat alive" and boom, magic lady makes our man Ethan not decompose and just be a dead body for a while while Alec tries to figure out how to seperate a soul from a body since they've only accidentally reanimated corpses.

Aight, so they manage that, and Ethan is just really confused because last time he checked, he was dead, and his mom didn't do that thing were you get the thing so you can die more than once. Then he just sees his corpse and he's like "tf kind of nightmare is this". So Alec explains to him that "my mans, I found you dying and that's not good so I brought you to my witch girlfriend, she stopped your corpse from rotting and shit, once that happens you can't split the soul from the body anymore cuz it went with the corpse, and you were dead for like a month, but I seperated your soul thing from your body and now you're like a ghost, except not completely dead. I mean you still kind of need food every now and then, but it will take you months to die from starvation or dehydration or exhaustion or whatever, idk maybe you're like uncle Jenkins, he made his wife do this kind of thing and he eats like once a decade, just absorbs a chicken leg and he's all set, it's different for everyone. Also you're going to need to not tell anyone about this because what we've done isn't exactly legal" and he's like
"oh. Does that mean I don't have to sleep outside. Well great, tired of eating dirt anyway"
