For all of you who hate me and my sad endings 🙄

This ending is dedicated @Jannice_m18 because I promised to make a happy ending in their honor

~~~
Percy's arms were wrapped around the smaller figure's torso, pulling them close to his chest. His warm breath tickled their neck and they could feel his smile against their neck.
The smaller figure whined, trying to wiggle out of the tan male's embrace.
"Let go, Percy," they said. "I need to go to the bathroom."
Percy let out a small huff, sleep still distorting most of his morning consciousness.
"Human necessities are non-existential to the power of love." He intertwined their fingers together, resting on top of the smaller male's stomach. Their golden rings making a satisfying clinking sound as they met.
The Italian blushed, the innocent childish acts of his husband always making way to his heart. He moved in the taller man's embrace, facing his lover.
"You, Perseus Jackson-di Angelo, are the most insufferable person I've ever met."
"Mhm, but you still love me," he muttered, refusing to open his eyes.
Nico sighed, brushing Percy's bangs out of his shut eyes. "That I do, il mio amore, I will forever love you."
Nico brushed his lips against Percy's, kissing his husband softly just as he does every morning. That got Percy to finally come out of his half asleep trance, pulling Nico on top of him and never breaking their kiss.
"And my heart will always be yours, Nico di Angelo- Jackson," Percy breathed out. "My love will forever be yours."
Because yes, they might have made foolish mistakes as teenagers, dancing a complex tango around the matter, always doubting that the other returned their feelings. Percy had in fact, not returned. He was always a man of his word.
That time, it had been Nico.
Many years later, but he eventually got fed up with the radio silence, and made the first step to mending their once friendship. It had taken many awkward meet ups, constant arguing and silent treatments, but they eventually reached a neutral agreement- a sense of peace.
Peace that lasted another year of friendly banter before they realized that the once young and raw emotions they had as teenagers had never faded away. And they decided to try it out, see where it led.
If you would have told high school Nico he would end up marrying the man of his dreams, he would have rolled his eyes and flipped you off, leaving you standing there while they tried to calm the faint blush that appeared.
Now if you would have told Percy he would one day marry his best friend and crush, he would laugh it off, dismissing it completely and calling you out in a polite manner, but going home and thinking about it all night. He would spend every waking moment dreaming of what could one day be, ignoring everything else that happened around him.
But now, none of that was necessary. Because here they were, in their apartment in New York, both overly comfortable in their bed, in each other's embrace as they expressed their love. And now that they had each other, nothing could drive them apart. Not demented exes or petty arguments.
Because at the end of the day, even in their darkest moments when they would lose sight of who they were, their lover would always be beside them to help them see what they have.
~End~
