The Mistral - SDC War

June 1st, 2091.

A date which will live forever as the day that not only cost the lives of many brave comrades who laid their lifes down for the freedom of their nation, but also as a date that would be the beginning of the conflict between the Moskov Pact nations and the SDC.

On june 1st right in the DMZ between the Peoples Republic of Mistral and the SDC controlled Mistral a squad of the Mistral Liberation Army was patrolling the border when they came across a family trying to defect to their side. Only for an incident that would be the catalyst to spark the war occurs. What your about to read is the transcripts from the helmet cameras which captured the entire incident.

[Transcript begins]

[Sound of running feet on the grass of sector Tonkin]

[ 1st LT. Ming ] - Radio command and let them know we have defectors trying to come to our side ! Sgt ! Get the guns up and shoot at those Capitalist pigs if they so much as shoot that family!

[ Sgt. Xing ] Yes sir !

[ 1st LT. Ming over PA system ] - To SDC soldiers! Gault your advance at once ! You are illegally entering the Peoples Republic of Mistral ! If you continue to advance any further you will be open fired on ! This is your first and only warning !

[ one minute after warning bullets begin to impact the bunker which MLA soldiers are stationed in. ]

[ 1st LT. Ming ] - SHIT ! Weapons free ! Weapons free ! KILL THOSE CAPITALIST PIGS !

[ Gun fire erupts from the bunker. ]

[ 1st LT. Ming soon radios command. ]

[ 1st LT. Ming ] - This is tiger 1 to CP we have come under attack by SDCM forces ! We have civilians who are in need of medivac! Request air support ! Over !

[ Command ] - solid copy Tiger 1 ETA on air support is 2 Mike's, switch to Tac-Freq 2-1 for call sign Wall eye and go to town. Be advised SDCM forces are attacking all over the border at this time so hold the line until reinforcements arrive out.

[ 1st LT. Ming ] - solid copy CP out !

[ Fighting continues for another two minutes until music and the sound of Hind Gunships is heard in the sky raining down machine gun and rocket fire. ]

On June 1st 2091 the SDCM military launched an out offensive into the PRM, while some areas of the DMZ would fall, they would be retaken within hours of falling.

An hour after the fighting began the PRM government officially declare war on the SDCM calling on not only its citizens to enlist to help fight off the aggressors, but also on its allies of the Moskov pact nations to aid in unifying Mistral.

On June 2nd of 2091 Menagerie would  enter into the conflict by sending troops and supplies to help Mistral, on that same day Moskovia would also offer its support in the form of aid but not commit troops to the fighting as they believed that mistral should fight as the brave warriors they are.

Vale remanded neutral and offered to act as neutral ground for negotiations of the two nations in hope both sides would seek out peaceful resolutions, however this was not the case.
