"Tell me the coordinates now!" A whiplash stuck her skin as she groaned in pain.
"I don't know!"
The figure laughed, it grabbed a hold of her cheeks, and whispered, "If you didn't know, you'd be dead."
Serena's cries got louder and louder as the frequency of the whiplash increased...
When she woke up, she was drenched in sweat. Serena looked around, the alarm clock next to her bed read 3 am. The lack of people around her suggested that this time she didn't scream.
Her dreams started as soon as she had stepped out of the Raider Manor. At first, they'd been about her arrival to the Van Black castle after she'd ingested the poison tooth. When she'd opened her eyes, Serena thought it was all a dream and that she was back in Haldfest.
But reality couldn't have been any more cruel.
The more time she spent away from Haldfest, the violent her dreams got. The blonde still didn't remember the ordeal of what happened, but it had all come to her in dreams which was worse than remembering because Serena had to live through it again.
Every dream started the same, a man with a face as black as coal tortured her until she fell unconscious in order to get the coordinates of Haldfest. The dreams ended with her refusing and falling unconscious.
The blonde had spent hours in the dark trying to remember the face of the man who did what he did to her, but all she'd managed to remember was the name Karma and that he always reeked of death.
Serena pushed back her hair and decided to get out of bed. Usually at times like this, a short walk through the meadow managed to calm her down. But just as she was about to set foot on the ground, a shadow flew past her window.
If it was any other day, Serena would have brushed it off as wind, but not today.
They will come for you, Gary's words rang in her ear.
Immediately Serena took out her gun and pressed the emergency alarm that Delia had given to her the day she left the Raider mansion and quietly walked out.
Alice woke up when she found a hand wrap around her mouth. She was about to scream but bite but then she saw her auntie Serena towering over her. She had her finger on her lips, urging her to keep quiet and asked her to stand up. Alice instantly reached for her Evee, only to find her Pokeball.
That's when she knew there was something wrong.
She followed Serena as they rushed out of her room, dashing across the living room beware of the windows through which a certain white light was coming in.
"Down!" Serena said in a hushed voice as she pushed her down on the floor.
They crawled their rest of the way out amidst an array of noises she had only heard in the television. Something was wrong, so seriously wrong that it made Serena's arm shiver with fear.
As they approached the back exit, Serena sighed the word for bunker. Alice nodded, signing back mom and Derek.
The blondes face was proof enough for her to know that they were safe. Serena lifted the door to the bunker, urging Alice to go in, but just as she was about to, in a state of panic, she cried, "Daddy's bracelet in the nightstand by my desk! I have to go get it!"
"Alice leave it!" Aria cried, "Get down!"
"No! I have to get it!"
No matter how much Aria pulled the girl down, she refused to leave without her daddy's bracelet. Tears as big as pearls formed in her eyes as she cried, pushing herself on the verge of a panic attack.
