Trapped.

Trapped is how Willow Evergreen has felt ever since the day she laid eyes on Draco Malfoy.

Is it possible to be trapped and in love at the same time?

"Willow, what do you think?" Pansy snapped her out of her thoughts. Willow jolts and straightens up, self consciously tucking a stray dark curl behind her ear.

"Someone was daydreaming again." Pansy pesters, flicking Willow playfully. She swats her hand away.

"Sorry, what were you asking?"

Pansy rolls her eyes, and takes a bite of pumpkin pastie. "What do you think about skipping potions and heading down to the black lake?"

"I say, fuck yeah. I am not facing Snape today." Willow shrugs, stealing a bite of the pastie.

"That's what I said, but Blaise over here thinks we'll get caught." Pansy rolls her eyes again, glaring at Blaise.

"Really? We skip class like, every day. Got cold feet or something Blazer?" Willow nudges Blaise's shoulder, him rolling his eyes at the nickname.

He doesn't have time to reply, as Draco takes that moment to walk into the common room. He takes a seat right next to Willow, sneakily squeezing her ass.

"Hey." He whispers in her ear.  Heat rises instantly to her cheeks. She kisses him quickly on the cheek.

"Gross." Pansy fakes a gag. She fluffs up her hair, undoes a few buttons, and loosens her tie before standing up.

"Shall we get going then since prince Draco has arrived" she jokes, but struts out of the room. Everyone trails behind her.

The cold wind hits Willows' face, causing her unruly curls to block her eyesight. She takes a hand out of her jacket pocket to brush a curl aside, and keeps walking towards the black lake.

"It's fucking freezing, are we sure it's still autumn?" Pansy complains, hugging herself tight.

"Pansy, shut your mouth, this was your idea anyway". Draco rolls his eyes.

The grey sky swirls angrily, hinting that a storm is on it's way. The group approaches the dark lake, huddled together. Willow is the first to notice three people sat by the lake. She recognizes Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Harry Potter.  She opens her mouth to warn everyone, when Draco nudges her.

"Those blood traitors are here" He states angrily.

"Let's head somewhere else, I don't want to smell of mudblood." Pansy scoffs, flipping her dark hair subconsciously.

"No!" Willow bursts out suddenly, because she has just locked eyes with Ron Weasley and she swears she's been shocked with electricity and she needs to know more.

Pansy stares her down inquisitively, tilting her head.

Draco looks at her with confusion.

Blaise just stares.

"I just, we're already here. Why should we let them make us leave?" She stutters.

"Whatever, let's just stay." Draco decides, and they keep walking.

The group sits by the lake, watching their cool breath dance in the air.  Ron, Hermione and Harry have definitely noticed their presence by now, sneaking glances at them and whispering to each other.  Willow has no history with the trio.  They've exchanged glances in the hallway, but nothing more.  Draco has a huge problem with them.  His strong feelings against muggle borns come off strongly at Hermione, and the boys can be quite defensive.  Willow remembers trying to ask Hermione a question about the work they were doing, and Draco practically hissing at her,  scolding her for making contact.  Willow never thought it out of the ordinary, her boyfriend being the one to decide who she talks to.  It's just an act of love...right?

It was all awfully overwhelming.  Boarding the train, going on the rowboats, lugging around an owl cage.  Willow was finally here.   The huge castle was just as beautiful as she expected, the glowing lights were mesmerizing.  It was all exciting and gorgeous, but the fact that Willow was just a small 12 year old girl in this huge school with all these powerful wizards was absolutely terrifying.  Willow was stressing, a lot, but the fear disintegrated immediately when she locked eyes with a boy her age.  He was tall, with wispy blonde hair, and gorgeous grey eyes.

"Hello there" his voice was like the first sip of your favourite drink, she needed more.

"Hi." she replied, dazed.

"I'm Draco Malfoy, and you are?" He urged.

"Willow.  Willow evergreen." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you, Willow." He smirked, staring her up and down.  Willow's heart was doing backflips, and she knew that her name on Draco's tongue was something she could get used to.

"Draco, Blaise, get over here and look at this" Pansy squeals, waving them over to where she's leaning over the dark water.  The boys get up from their spot on the ground, and head over to Pansy.  That leaves Willow, alone staring at an abnormally long piece of grass. She can feel Ron's gaze burning into her, and curiosity tickles her brain.  She glances at Pansy and the boys, they seem awfully into whatever they found.  She makes a quick decision, and soon she's up and walking towards the trio.

Ron is the first person to acknowledge Willow's presence.

"Hi." He breathes, looking at her with some sort of sparkle in his eye.

This is all very, very strange as Ron and Willow have never exchanged a single word to each other.

"Hi."  Willow says, because honestly she can't really think about anything besides how Ron's eyes hold so much fondness she might just combust and why is this happening now.

"So, skipping potions huh?" He says laughing nervously, his body language screaming "I don't ever talk to any girls besides Hermione".

"Potions is impossible to master, and with Snape as our professor, I don't even want to try." She replies truthfully, now noticing Harry and Hermione looking at them confusedly.

"What are you really here for?  To make Ron spit up slugs?  To turn me into a toad?  To trick us into some sick joke?"  Hermione butts in.  She cocks her head at Willow, challenging her.

"No, no of course not.  I know you and Draco might not have had the best encounters but I'm not him-"

"Just shut your bloody mouth and get back to your boyfriend.  We don't want to hear whatever you have to say."  She cuts Willow off, and turns back to harry.

Ron looks at Willow with guilt in his eyes, mouthing "sorry".  He turns back to his friends, and Willow turn back to hers.

As they walk back to the castle, Willow can't help but wonder if her friends would have stood up for her as fast as Hermione stood up for Ron.

Later on in the dorms when she's supposed to be helping Pansy study for her big herbology test, all she can think about is the sparkle in Ron's eye, and the flutter in her heart at the sight of him.  The flutter in her heart that she hasn't felt for Draco in over a year.  The flutter in her heart that Draco took from her, and locked away.
