The next day I woke up tired with my muscles cramping, fighting that bear that had really put a strain on my muscles that and sleeping in a weird position. Slowly opening my eyes I turn to look at Nutmeg only to find her not behind me in her sleeping space, hearing the sound of leaves crunching I turn to the entrance of the cave only to see Nutmeg there walking around.

Getting up I eye my dirty clothes before I sigh, today was washing day but first, I need to scavage that bear for any meat leftover because with how I just left it outside who knows what could have gotten into it maybe the meat wasn't even good anymore. Grabbing my dagger I walk out the cave, patting Nutmegs side as I head for the bear.

It lay there right where I had left it, just from where I stood I could smell the meat was rotten but none the less the hide and the bones would be put to use. Walking over to the bear I stand at the head of the bear before I stab my dagger into it no doubt ruining the skull. Dragging my dagger along the spine of the bear I quickly start removing the hide from it, a good blanket could be made from it if I do it right.

Looking at the meat I sigh in disdain I hate the waste of food and there wasn't a scrap of meat on this bear that wasn't rotten. Hefting the hide over my shoulder I limp over to the cave before I throw the bear hide over it, looking to the dear hide I brush my fingers over it seeing it dry out nicely as I think about what to do with it, I look down to my clothes I sigh softly smiling knowing what I will do with it.

Turning around I walk to the bear before I start carving the meat away from the bone, throwing it off to the side to decompose into the ground. Working for an hour I pant softly finishing cutting the last bit of meat off, look at the skull of the bear sighing."Damn, that would have made a good house piece could have even used it as storage or decoration"Grabbing a few of the rib bones I walk back to the cave and past the pups who play with each other.

They were growing bigger each day, I need to speed up their training so that they can learn while they are still young. "I still have yet to name them ...maybe I should do that now quickly...but how would I remember them then they all bloody well look the same to me, maybe a collar I guess ?"  Walking inside the cave I place down the bones before I walk outside again going to the deer hide I quickly cut a big enough portion off to make three small collars, they wouldn't be fancy just a way to tell the pups apart.

Walking inside I grab my needle and thread before I start sowing on the names, this would dwindle my thread supply a bit but it's being put to good use. Taking only an hour I finally finish the three collars, though they were more like bandanas. Walking outside I whistle to the pups before I smile kneeling down when they run to me. Sliding the bandana over the first one I smile.

Amari: You shall be known as Blade, and you shall be Midnight and finally you are Sc...Quiver.

I stare at the bandana before I sigh feeling the feeling of longing and loneliness creep into my heart and mind. Walking back inside I began to think and wondering over if Mourning was ever gonna come back and get me or if he was just gonna leave me here to rot ... Leaning against the wall when a sudden wave of nausea passes over me, I shake my head as it passes.

Amari: I better not be getting sick, I can't afford to be getting sick right now...

Placing a hand over my mouth I run outside and over to a bush before I vomit the remaining food in my stomach, once that was gone it was just dry heaving for a solid 7 minutes. Shakingly I get up holding onto the tree before I walk to the river and kneel down drinking some water to get the taste out of my mouth.

Staying by the river until my stomach settles down, I get up going into the cave before I retrieve my clothes and my bar of soap. Walking back outside I walk over to the river before I kneel down once more and start to clean my dirty clothes, once I see they are as clean as I ring them out before I throw them over a tree as I get undressed to take a quick dip in the river.

The water wasn't as cold as I would have thought it would be, it wasn't icy but it wasn't warm either it was just brisk. Sinking under I left the current wash through my hair as I clean it the best I can. Coming ou the water I walk back to the shore before I gather my dry clothes and head back inside to my cave."A quick nap couldn't hurt ..." Throwing my clothes into my bag I go over to my sleeping bag before I get into it and turn over going to sleep.

Several hours later ...

By the time I woke up, it was already mid-afternoon around 3ish I would say. The song of the bird rang loudly in my ears as the pups lay cuddled up to me asleep. Shifting to get out of the sleeping bag I successfully get out without waking the pups.

Walking outside I look at the area as I smile softly picturing myself living here in a wood house of my own creation, shaking my head I look down thinking. "If that were to happen I would need tools, stone tools would have to do, for now, thankfully they aren't that hard to make, I can use the rib bones as the handles for the tools, I need a spear as well I need to take the chance to spearfish, it's easier and I have great access to it compared to having to walk up the hill for berries or having to go hunting only to find nothing"

Nodding to myself I grab my bag with my bow and arrows just in case as I grab my dagger placing it inside my bag I set out to look for the materials I would need to make my new tools.

Sometime later...

Picking up another rock I place it into my bag before I sigh softly, it was becoming dark fast, I was lucky I remembered the route back but still, I didn't wish to be caught out in the open at night without being able to see. Turning around I start heading back as the last rays of sun disappear, grumbling I quickly light my torch I had made earlier on.

Shining the light over my pathway I start following my tracks back home until I come across a weird-looking track, it looked almost as big as a bear footprint but the spacing was longer and further apart and there were no claw marks gouges in the dirt. Looking back more I stare at the back leg footprints they looked human almost but the footprint was deep meaning it was heavier than a human.

Sighing as I know my curiosity will kill me this time I quickly turn to follow the tracks, not having to go far the tracks lead to a tree before disappearing. Looking up I move back apon seeing acid eating away at the tree but only slightly."Where have I see this before..." Frowning I keep staring at it before I make a mental note to come back here tomorrow.

Turning around I follow the tracks back to mine before I follow those heading home. Nutmeg greets me at the entrance of the cave her snout covered in blueberries juice which I can only laugh about. Walking inside I place my bag down before I sit by the fire quickly using my torch to start it, extinguishing my torch soon after, it needs to last.

Pulling out the vines, rocks, and bones from my bag I quickly get to work in creating the tools, the basic three would be first, a hammer, a spear, and an ax. By the time was finished with the ax my fingers were sore, my arms ached and my eyelids drooped heavily. Smiling happily and contently I place my new tools besides the wall for later as I crawl to my sleeping bag, completely forgetting about dinner as I crawl into it falling fast asleep effortlessly.
