Once I had gotten back to the cavern I rushed straight towards the huntress, praying that she was still alive. I kneeled quickly once I was at her side, the bear hide was thick with green blood but at least it stopped most of the blood from coming out. How she was alive I didn't know, my only thought was to somehow stop the flow of blood and close her wounds.

I untie the vine that was holding the hide in place quickly, quickly removing it as the blood flowed more quickly now. I look at the wound which was the size of my fist twice over and bites my lip. I get up running to grab my medkit from my bag, I can only hope that this will help somehow. I wasn't a doctor of their kind so I didn't know if I would cause the wound to be worse or better, only one way to find out.

Just as I sit back down by her side I notice something on her side, a small pouch that looked to be a medkit hung limply there. Relief flowed over me as I grabbed it and opened it, empty vials met my eyes and many medical instruments that once could be found in the pouch were gone. Three needles, two scalpels, and a vial with a glowing purple substance in it were all that was left in the pouch.

Touching the scalpels, I surprised to find a small button on it, that when touched caused the edge of the blade to start heating up."This should help when cutting through..."Shaking my head I look to the serum, thanking the translator in my head as I read out the words on the vial. "Regenerative serum, use once wound is closed, not before...well thanks for the instructions I guess"

Sighing I place the pouch down as I start opening my own medkit and pulling out some gloves to wear. Grabbing a wooden torch I stick it in the ground near me so I could see better as I look inside her wound, two large arteries I think hung loosely pouring out the blood. Getting up I grab more hides I can use before I kneel back down and starts working on her. I could only hope that with my knowledge I would be able to save her.

Grabbing the heated scalpel cut off the ends of the arteries to neaten the place where the heart was ripped from. Seizing a hide, I quickly soak up the blood that poured out before I throw it to the side. Grabbing a needle, I thread some leftover string onto the end before I reach into the wound and stitch up the arteries. I lean back looking at them before I nod grabbing the heated scalpel. Using it, I cut off the ripped parts of the yautjas hide before I turn the blade off. Once again grabbing the needle I quickly sow up the wound. "That should hold for now, just so long as she doesn't move. Now to wrap it up and be done with all this blood."

Cutting up a hide I quickly wrap it tightly around the wound and ties the ends together to form a knot. I look towards the pouch before I grab the vial, flipping the cap on one end I look for a vein in her arm before I push the needle into her skin, releasing the substance into her vein before removing it.

All I could do now was sit back and wait to see if she lives or dies. Grabbing a spare hide blanket, I throw it over her before I get up, grabbing all the blood-stained hides. "Maybe I can still use these, better go wash them off in the stream"Walking out the cavern I chuckle when I notice one of the wolves got to my burnt meat, I shrug heading towards the stream in hopes of salvaging the hides.

The rain had died down for now only a light drizzle rained down from above. My eyes followed the movements around me praying that nothing would come out of them but in the end, nothing did, no animal, creepy hunter, or nightmare creature from hell. The wind only barely moved and the sun that shone through the dark clouds was quickly disappearing as time went on. "Another stormy night it would seem, I need to grab some more twigs even if I have to let them dry out before I use them."

Arriving at the stream, I kneel down and start to wash the blood from the hides. Thankfully it seemed like the blood was coming out perfectly even without soap. Rubbing my fingers together, I try to heat them up and stop them from going stiff from the cold. Grabbing the hides I head back to my home.
