1. Birthday Number 17

Hi, I'm Y/N LaRusso and this is my story.

Present Day...
"Y/NNN" Sam sings as she barges into your room. "What dear sister?" You ask annoyed. "Get up!! It's our birthday!" She says as she comes and rips the covers off of you.

"Please leave me in peace, after you have awoken me from my deep deep slumber" You say dramatically. "Fine" Sam agrees. "BUT be down soon, Mom and Dad want us for someting and they refuse to say if we are both not there" She says as she leaves the room.

"Great" You mutter to yourself. You always dreaded your birthday, because it something else you had to share with Sam. She was always first. When you two were kids, there was no difference. But now, you can tell that Sam is that favorite. "At least, I am loved more than Anthony" You say as you get ready.

After you get ready into your choice of clothing, you make your way downstairs to see everybody waiting for you. "Finally, you take to long" Anthony says as he is still playing on his I-Pad.

"Happy Birthday Y/N/N" Your Mom (Amanda) says as she hugs you.

"Thanks Mom" You say as she releases you. "My two girls" Your Dad (Daniel) says as he pushes you and Sam together and takes a picture.

"Sam told me that you had something that you wanted to tell us" You said guessing that she was lying because she does stuff like that to get you up. "I lied" Sam admits.

"Not suprised" You say as Anthony finally puts down his I-Pad. "What's for breakfast?" He asks. "Sam and Y/N, you pick" Daniel says.

"No preference" You say as you look to Sam knowing that she would pick you two's favorite.

"Cinnamon Rolls" Sam looks at you at smiles. "As I assumed" Daniel laughed as he made his way to the kitchen and made it home-made Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese frosting.

You, Sam, Amanda, and Anthony all went to the table and ate your Cinnamon Rolls. "Thank you, Dad. It never fails" You smile. "Well thank you" He says. Even though they liked Sam better, you still respected them and they returned the favor.

For the day, Sam went her karate friends, Anthony was on his I-Pad as usual, and your parents were at the dealership. Which basically left you all alone.

While you were sitting by the pool and staring at the water Mr. Miyagi crossed your mind. You missed him more than Sam did, because you knew him more. Mr. Miyagi always favored you even if he didn't want to admit it. He taught you some Miyagi-Do which you really enjoyed.

And it annoyed you that Sam thinks she can just start again, and feel that she was the only one Mr. Miyagi's mind. He thought Sam as his student's daughter, and he thought of Y/N like his granddaughter.

You were interrupted by Sam bursting into the backyard with a black haired boy. Of who you assumed was her boyfriend in which she would not stop talking about.

"Y/N, this is my boyfriend Miguel" Sam says. "It's nice to meet you Y/N, Sam never stops talking about you he said. Miguel seemed like a really kind boy who wouldn't hurt a fly. "I could say the same here"

"Oh and happy birthday Y/N, sorry I haven't directly said that" Sam said. "Me too"

"Oh yeah, happy birthday Y/N" Miguel says. "Thank you" You respond. "What has Anthony been doing all day?" Sam asks even though she should know by now. "What do you think?" You tease. "I-Pad" You and Sam say at the same time and you, Sam, and Miguel all laugh. "Anyways, I should get going" Miguel. "Bye" You say. "Bye" Sam says. She gives him a quick kiss good-bye and he is off.

"He's nice" You say. "He really is. Anyways, did you ever think about getting back into karate?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, um... sometimes, why?" You ask. "Because I want you to meet some more of my friends, and Dad misses you when he trains" Sam says. "Are you sure he misses me and not Anthony?" You say then you both break out laughing. "I think we BOTH know the answer to that."

"I'm in" you say truly smiling for the first in what felt like forever.
