"You... you're not, right?"
As if an old wooden door, Soyeon turned her head hesitantly to Eunwoo. Her eyes squinting and her mouth curved slightly into a nervous grin.
"Kim Soyeon!"
Suddenly out of nowhere, the door swung opened, creating a strong breeze to run through both of the two high schoolers' skin. A man stood behind the door. He had a flower designed apron worn perfectly around his waist. One hand was behind his back while the other had a slipper, ready to pounce anyone. Though he didn't look any older than he was, Eunwoo thought.
"Why do you have a weapon?" she gulped.
The man scoffed, dropping his slipper to the floor with such force, creating a loud bang against the floor.
"Why are you late?" he yelled, practically spitting on her face, "I had to take care of the thing by myself!"
The two high schoolers could only guess what 'thing' he was referring to.
"The thing? You mean..." she trailed off, terrified even to finish the sentence.
Soyeon slowly spun back only to see the poor boy stopped dead with his eyes wider as ever. Some might think they will pop right off his head.
"Soyeon, I didn't know you're into people," the older boy snickered, surprised to see her with someone other than herself. "Hi, I'm the father—"
"No, you're not!" Soyeon spat to the older boy, holding both of her hands out as if wanting to choke the living death of him.
He, however, was having the time of his life. The entire time, he had been smiling and laughing like a child. Eunwoo doubted the man in front of him was no older than twenty years old.
"You're so tense," he said, pointing to Eunwoo, standing there as stiff as a stick. "I'm her brother, Kim Myungjun."
"A-Ah, I'm Cha Eunwoo."
Eunwoo suddenly felt a wash of relief splashing onto him. His shoulders dropped slightly and slowly calmed down. He would be lying if he said he wasn't relief that the man was just her brother and not any more than that.
"Then what... there's a baby?" he asked once more, hoping to get a solid answer.
"It's not a real baby! There's no baby! No baby, I promise!" Soyeon raised her voice frantically, waving her hands in all directions. "What baby?" she asked before turning back to her brother, looking as bright as ever.
"This baby," he announced before revealing his hand he had been hiding the entire situation. The thing that had been clenching onto Soyeon and Eunwoo's dear lives.
"A turtle?"
