Sonya quickly ran down the mountain, moving to the side to avoid crashing into the boys who were walking up to see their friend.

"she's quite the spirit huh." frypan said laughing

"yeah they make quite the team, stone cold Harriet, flower girl Sonya, and sarcastic bitch Ren, how pleasant." Minho added on

meanwhile, Ren was down by the fire, being tackled by yet again another hug from Sonya, laughing at the overly happy platinum blonde. Aris handed Ren a burger, which she gratefully accepted, and the group burst into laughter as her stomach responded to the smell by grumbling.

"so-" Harriet said clapping her hands, "how did you do it?" she asked

"you go first." I answered

"its pretty simple, we were sleeping, and a group of men burst into our room and explained everything that had been happening" Harriet said taking a bite from her burger.

"obviously we didn't believe him, so they showed us the kids... strung up and they took us here." Sonya added.

"we tried to find your room aris, but when we opened it up you weren't there."

"then we both started refusing to go with them cause we realized you weren't with us Ren, but they forced us out, I cried about leaving you for basically the whole ride here." Sonya finished talking, and her sad eyes met Rens.

"I couldn't sleep that night, so I snuck out and took a shower, when I got back you guys were gone, it all makes sense now."

"the night you guys left was the night I first found out about the vents so I must have been in there when you came looking for me, I was so exited to tell you guys."

"yeah, Harriet you would have loved our escape." I added, "but if Sonya was there she probably would have figured out a more clever way to get us out." and we all laughed

"ok, tell me everything."

after about 15 minutes of group B laughing their asses off about Aris and Rens crazy escape, Harriet added

"no way, I don't believe you guys actually pulled this off!"

"we did!" Ren argued

"not you Ren, I believe you, there's just no way out of all people... Aris was part of this."

"HEY! without me it wouldn't have been possible, so ha!"

and the group yet again, burst into another fit of laughter, enjoying each others presence, like the good days in the maze. looking down on group B from the top of the rocky hill was the gladers, all enjoying the first bit of peace they have had for a while

"I wish Winston could have seen all this." frypan said

"and alby"

"... and chuck" Thomas said sadly, while fidgeting with chucks wooden figure

"y'know Thomas, he would be proud of you." newt said sadly, and Thomas gave a small smile. the group then turned their heads to group B, as they heard them laughing, and soon joined in as well when they noticed Aris had fallen of his chair, and because ren was laughing so hard at his fall, as did she.

"hey Aris!" frypan yelled the the boy raising his hand, and aris gave a wide smile back

"hey guys!" he yelled.

as Ren dusted the dirt of her pants and got settled back into her chair, newt was silently watching her, wondering how a person can be so elegant and yet so clumsy all at once. newt hated looking at her, every time he did, it became even harder to tear his eye away, because each time he looked, he found a new detail about her that he became mesmerized by. This time, it was her smile. he had never seen her smile so big, and even at a distance he could still see every detail on her face, not matter how much he hated to admit it,

ren was beautiful.

"I kinda like that kid." frypan stated

"yeah, still don't trust him though." minho said with a smirk.

"what about Ren?" Thomas asked, and newt focused in on the conversation.

"as much as I hate to admit it, she growing on me. I trust her way more than I should, considering she doesn't even trust us, but I still do." frypan said chuckling

"kinda hated her at first, but now that I think of it, I dont know where we would all be without her. she's our friend."

"yeah." newt answered simply, and the gladers gave a playful smirk at him.

"what?" he asked

"yeah? we are out here complementing your girlfriend expecting you to go on a rant on how perfect she is, and you say 'yeah'?"

"why does everyone keep saying- you know what, I don't even wanna know."

"c'mon newt." Minho said trying to edge the blonde on.

"its safe to say we would all be bloody dead without her, let's leave it at that yeah?" newt said, and Minho sighed at newts response, while newt took a sigh of relief as Minho moved on from the conversation.

"hey, where's Teresa?" Thomas asked, nerves coming up as he noticed he hasn't seen the raven haired girl for over an hour. newt then pointed at the edge of one of the mountains, where teresa stood watching the sun set. with a quick nod of his head, Thomas got up and started walking towards the girl he had slowly found himself falling for.

newt, once again found his eyes land straight on Ren once again, and frypan let out a small laugh before whispering to Minho

"hey, if one more person goes crazy for a girl i'm gonna lose my shit, us single men need to stick together." frypan said emphasizing the word 'men' , and Minho laughed.

"of course man, gladers before gators"

"oh my- never say that again." frypan laughed, and Minho smiled. what the runner didn't notice was that he wasn't smiling at frypans remarks, but at the beautiful light skinned girl laughing with her friends. Harriet.
