Waking up was never a good feeling for Ren, but now it seemed even worse since she begged and begged it wouldn't happen again.
So she was incredible pissed as she woke up to the now familiar feeling of incredible pain and not the gates of heaven, or the underworld-
Hey, even if she was reincarnated as a dung beetle. She would rather any of that, then waking up knowing she was now irreversibly and inevitably, flat out
alone.
The girl groaned as she pulled the thin bed sheets over her head in the hopes it would block out the light which had done nothing but worsen the headache, but of course that did nothing; much to her dismay.
Once she had realized she had absolutely no clue where she was, she snapped her body up and then immediately laid back down from the immense pain making her feel like she has the worst hangover of the century, even though she was completely sober.
What confused her even more was that she some how made it onto what looks like a cheap medical bed.
The girl had found herself in a small shack, filled with bottles of mysterious liquid everywhere, and a lavender smelling incense burning on a shelf in the corner.
The walls were made of many thin long sticks tied together by rope and placed firmly on the ground so it couldn't move, and the roof was a thin grey piece of old fabric, the same fabric used as the door.
Beside her laid an end table with a mug filled with what looked like green tea, and as she took a small sip she found it to be room temperature.
Eventually she made her way out of bed, silently thanking whoever made her tea since it really helped with her throat.
And as she thought of that, all the memories came flooding back. Why her arm was wrapped in bandages, how her throat had a bandaid as well because Newt almost killed her,
and how she had killed him.
Her eyes watered up at just the thought of it, knowing it was all her fault. She only assumed on the other side of that door laid her friends; or what was left of them, and even though she had no idea where she was she was still scared to go out and face them.
After stabbing Newt, everything became a blur, other than remembering trying to save Teresa her mind went fuzzy on everything else, so she only assumed it was really bad.
She finally built up the courage to walk out the door, not caring about her muscles who were screaming at her to lie back down again, and she was met with the bright sun and a nice warm breeze.
Maybe she was in heaven?
No, too much pain.
Maybe it was all a dream?
No, if it was she would seriously consider a dream therapist or something.
Do those even exist?
