"The fuck is this all about?" Jakari questioned.

"I can't get a damn hello? Like nigga." Lewis, the name of Jakari's lawyer questioned while making a face. He had came to visit today out of no where.

"Mane." Lewis looked at Jakari's head. "I hope you do get out just so you can fix that shit." He laughed.

Over the years his hair had grown into this thick matted afro. Lewis always had something to say about his head.

The two were actually really close. Lewis is in his early 40s but they go wayyy back. His mom dated Lewis when Jakari was a lot younger. The two stayed together for a minute, things just didn't work out.

Lewis continued to communicate with Jasmine frequently.

Jakari slouched in his seat and shook his head. "I
fucking hate you dawg like why the fuck is you even here?"

"We have some talking to do."

"Well get to the damn point."

Lewis jerked back and held his chest. "Who pissed in yo juice this morning? I mean DAMN."

He shook his head. "I'm just not in the mood, cuh." Jakari was love sick as the fuck. Mad at the whole Kaymoni thing but still missing her ass like hell.

He's had this attitude all week. Even reframed from calling her cause he didn't want his negativity to rub off. Or so he wouldn't end saying the wrong thing, since he's lowkey mad at her too.

He didn't even know why he was mad at her. Maybe because deep down he feels like she really is out fucking and sucking on folks while he's locked up.

For Jakari it's really not about the fucking, if we're being honest. He's scared the sex may lead to feeling and those feeling end up with Kaymoni and someone else.

Plus he's in jail which makes that scenario all the more worse. She'd leave him in a split second in his eyes.

When really that wasn't the case. Jakari knew this—or should anyway. Being in his situation all he could really do was think the worse.

Whole time Kaymoni is barley thinking about sex and definitely not with someone else.

Or... is she?

"Can we get to it?" Jakari asked wanting to finish up so he could lay in his bunk all day and do nothing.

"Alright." Lewis started. "I been hearing some stuff... and honestly we can use this to get you out."

"The prison is starting to become overcrowded, i'm talking 10-20 inmates coming every other day. I know you've noticed." He said and Jakari nodded.

"At some point they gone have to start letting some of y'all go. That's how it always play out. Ima call my people and get you on that list."

Hearing this Jakari's mood took a full 360. You can't see it in his face of course but in the inside he was jumping out his seat.

"For real?" He asked with a slight smile creeping up on his face.

"For real, for real."
