Like Father Like Son- Naruto Hatake

~The Beginning ~

[Kakashi's pov]

    Oh my Kami Oh my Kami todays the day and I'm freaking out under this mask as I watch my girlfriend A'keylah scream in pain for like the a hundred time. Its currently 2:57am, on January 7th 2004 and my son is due any moment. As if on cue it happens.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh get him out of meeeeeee." screamed A'keylah as she squeezed the life out of my hand again and pushed our son out.
"Just a little more his head is almost out just one more big push." said the nurse as she helped deliver my little Naru-chan into the world.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" A'keylah wailed as she gave one more big push   bringing our son into the world.

" Waaaaaa waaaaa" cried Naruto as the nurses rushed over to take him to get cleaned up, dressed, and fed. As the nurses brought Naruto out all cleaned and wraped in a blanket and called in Minato and his family, A'keylah took one look at us all and said told us how much she loved n wished she could stay and made us promise to look after him. She wasn't looking very well but we all knew their was a 50% chance of her making it out with me and our son after child birth.

She kissed Naruto's head and told him she loved him so much and apologized for not being here and smiled at us all one last time as the light faded from her eyes and her smile slowly slipped and just like that the mother of my child and my lover was gone.

~Flashback no one's pov~

It was May 27th of 2003 nearly summer time. A'keylah paced back and forth outside the door of her and Kakashi's small apartment thinking of ways to tell him what was going on.

After a few more minutes of pacing and calming her breathing, she unlocked the door and walked in. Seeing Kakashi on the couch in the living room without his mask on reading his percy book she hesitatanly walked over to him. "Okaerinasai" kashi said as he looked up at her. She hesitated but spoke softly "Okaerinasai. ...Kashi... there is something you must know and please have an open mind about this. Try to be reasonable and think with your head and not your heart when I tell you this okay." A'keylah pleaded at her boyfriend. She hoped and prayed that he would listen and understand her. A'keylah was dying and she knew it but she wanted to leave a piece of her behind with Kakashi before she left him. They only had 9 months left together but he didn't know. 

" Hmm, what's wrong? Are you okay Keylah??" kakashi answered searching her face with worried eyes. He noticed how pale and she less hyperactive she had been for a while but every time he would bring it up she would push it away and say she was fine or change the subject. He figured she'd tell him when she was ready but that didn't stop him from constantly worrying about her.

" ..Kashi..I'm pregnant." she hesitatanly states and looks up from fiddling with her fingers to see her wide eyed cyclops lover looking down at her smiling a big goofy smile. She couldn't help but smile, but just as fast as the smile came it was gone again. "W-wha- when- wow." Kakashi stumbled over his words trying to express how happy but also scared he was. He's a father.

"T-that's not a-all." coming out of his thoughts at the sound of his lovers scared and watery voice, he looked down to see tears on her face and his heart ached at the sight. As their eyes met she told him in her bravest voice "Ka-kakashi I'm dying. I-i have been sick for a while an-and couldn't bring myself to tell y-you. I'm so sorry Kakashi but the doctors said I won't make after child birth" kakashi's heart broke and as much as he wanted to be mad at her for not telling him he grabbed her in a tight hug and held her close as she cried.

Tears fell from both their eyes as they sat there on the couch wrapped in each others arms.
" Kashi I want you to promise me something." A'keylah spoke breaking their comfortable silence. He leaned back and looked down at her remembering every detail of her face.

From her blonde hair that fell in waves down her back,to her long eyelashes that curled over the most beautiful unique blue-violet eyes that shined with mischief and adoration and always reminded him of his sensei's eyes whom became like a father to him, to her lips that always seemed so pink,plump, and glossy and back to her eyes. " What is it?" he answered so low that he barely heard hisself but as she began to talk he was sure she heard him.

"Promise me that no matter what happen after I am gone you will not blame yourself or our son. Promise to love, cherish, protect, teach, and guide him. And lastly promise to move on and love again. I will not be mad and you do not have to feel as if you are replacing me. Please Kashi I want both my boys to be happy with or without me. Please."

She pleaded as she stared into his eyes with so much love. After a minute of staring into each others eyes, one begging the other uncertain, Kakashi finally spoke, " I-i promise." he said as tears spilled out his eyes.

~End of flashback~
