James combed Tally's hair and mane. He carefully put the bridle onto Tally's face and adjusted the straps to the right size. James then lifted the heavy saddle and practically threw it onto Tally's back. He tightened the girth and Tally's ears flew back. He didn't like having his girth tight so James walked under his long brown neck. He tightened the girth from the other side and patted Tally's neck. James put on his black riding hat, and his riding jacket. He grabbed Tally's boots and did up the velcro straps around Tally's skinny ankles.

Tally drank some water and ate some hay before James untied him. He adjusted his stirrups and tightened his girth. James then mounted and slipped his feet into the shinny clean still stirrups. He gave Tally a small squeeze with his heels and joined the other sellers next to the jumping ring.

A deep male voice announced the first person to show off their horses skills "First up is Jack and his horse Harley." Harley trotted into the ring with Jack guiding him through the small jumps. Harley cantered through the course after the first three jumps. Harley had a very graceful canter and Jack jumped up and down in the saddle looking very scared. Harley was known to buck or rear in front of jumps, big or small, whether it was just a pole on the floor or not. Jack nudged Harley's side with his heels and Harley picked up his head slightly, stopping him from bucking before the 8th jump which they had just leaped over. There was only two more jumps left and Jack had managed to stop him from bucking or rearing. He had a good chance at selling the daredevil horse.

After two more horses had competed the tiny course and had shown of the abilities they had at jumping, it was Tally's turn. James bent over Tally neck and patted his long soft bulky left shoulder. " Tally do it at your own ability. Don't push yourself to far." James kicked lightly but had to kick slightly harder for the second time. Tally trotted beautifully into the ring and James took up sitting trot and then a canter with a gorgeous, perfect rhythm. Tally bowed his head like a professional dressage horse. Tally's hooves and legs lifted as he forced his body into the air and over the first jump.

Once Tally had finished the course, James cantered round the ring once more before returning to trot and then walk. James turned him back into his space in the row of seven horses. "I want that horse!" Shouted a woman in a denim jacket and blue jeans. She was wearing English riding boots made by Harry Shaw over her blue jeans. Anyone could tell they were Harry Shaw boots because they had the name written on the side of the black boots in a white curly font. Under her denim jacket was a checked shirt with white, dark pink and light pink squares. It had a small pocket which appeared invisible and it was full of cash. Lots of cash.

"Well it looks like we have a buyer for Tally." The deep voice said over the cantering sound of hooves jumping over obstacles in the ring.
