✈️James' P.O.V✈️
I miss Tally so much already. My phone rings. It's Sasha. I answer. She yells down the phone so loudly at me - like she is on speaker but she's not.
"JAMES, I TOLD YOU TO MEET MY NEXT TO PUMPKIN'S STABLE! WHERE ARE YOU - ARE YOU AT HOME?" I guess she can hear the tv. "ARE YOU GOING TO COMMIT TO THIS RELATIONSHIP OR WHAT?"
"No."
I hang up on her and she sends about a thousand messages to me all saying the same thing:
What so we are over?
The answer to that is definitely yes. I reply to her with one word: yes. I don't care about her anyway.
"Tonight on 4 News, after several months, 14 year old Cassie Brookes has been found. She went missing 8 months ago - last seen at her school. Phillipa Edwards reports to us from Cassie's home in Dublin."
The news is always so depressing. As I switch over to another channel - I see that a programme called The Champion's New Horse is on. Literally just as it 'flips' from 4News to QuestionDaily I see Zara on the show.
"I hope that this new horse of mine will be fit enough to compete in the next championship." They show a clip of Zara training Tally. She lunges him around her and she uses a long crop (or whip) to urge him on. She hits his hindquarters and he lengthens his stride. Her face is now frustrated. She hits him again but harder and he lifts his head and begins cantering cautiously. I can tell that he doesn't like it.
"After 11 perfect horses, Zara has decided to take on a new challenge," As if, " This horse who was called Tally is now named Kingdom in the East. Training him will be tough but Zara is willing to exclude all Tally's bad habits."
As I turn off the TV and head up the stairs, I see all the pictures of horses on the wall.
☄James' Dream☄
"Go to her." A voice says inside James' head. "Go."
"You need her just as much as she needs you...."
The stables are there. He sees her standing next to him. She hugs James as he runs towards her.
"Thank you for coming," She says, "I need you along side of me."
Rain falls from the blank white canvas in the sky that is imagination. They go inside with him to take care of him. Together. James misses her just as much as she needs him.
I awoke sweating and gasping for breath.
