Asterin had just reached up to grab a book when she felt someone appear behind her. She slowly gripped the book before turning to see the Golden Trio - and they didn't look happy.
"Can I help you?" Asterin cleared her throat and leaned back against the shelf. Her eyes flickered to the side, looking for a flash of blonde hair. The one time she managed to convince him she'd be fine on her own, she was cornered by the enemies.
"Is it true?"
Asterin looked towards Granger who looked.. disappointed in her. They knew.
"Is what true?" She looked for that blonde hair again.
"You're a Death Eater?" Asterin looked towards Weasley before looking at Potter.
"I don't see how that is any of your business." Asterin rose an eyebrow and turned to walk away, but Potter blocked her in.
"We don't mean any harm, Asterin - just please tell us if it's true or not." Asterin sighed and looked towards Granger, refusing to make eye contact with the two boys.
"You are, aren't you?" Asterin lowered her eyes and gave a subtle nod.
"Shit!" Potter pulled out his wand and pointed it towards Asterin who simply closed her eyes and waited.
"Harry no!" Granger moved to stand in front of her, her brows furrowed in confusion at why Hermione Granger was saving her.
"Would you stop thinking with your wand for a damn minute and think with your brain!"
Weasley let out a snort of a chuckle before covering it with a cough when Granger glared at him.
"Blimey 'Mione, you can't say something like that and not expect me to laugh."
Granger sighed before turning towards Asterin who was slowly backing away as they talked. She froze with wide eyes when Granger grabbed her hand and dragged her away from the other students in the library - and Draco.
"If you're going to kill me can you not do it in the library. I rather not people say I died in the library of all fucking places," Asterin scoffed when Granger ignored her.
They finally came to the back corner where students hardly went unless to have sex or drink. Granger sat her down in the chair before staring down at her.
"Show us."
Asterin crossed her arms and leaned back in the chair with an eyebrow raised.
"Please?" Granger gave her a sarcastic smile before letting it slip. Asterin grinned and moved her sleeve up her arm to show the Dark Mark. The Golden Trio gasped before sitting in their own chairs.
"Satisfied? Now, either kill me or let me leave."
"Why?"
"Uh, because believe it or not I don't enjoy spending time with you three?" Asterin scoffed and stood up.
"No.. Why did you get the mark? Do you not care you could die in the war?" Asterin sat back down slowly, all humor leaving her face.
"You've met the Dark Lord, Potter," she looked towards him as he rubbed at the scar on his forehead, "do you think I'd still be sitting here if I told him no?"
"You mean you didn't want it?" Weasley piped in.
"Of course not. I might as well sign my death certificate. Someone takes one look at my arm and will kill me on the spot. I had no choice."
The Golden Trio looked at each other before peering at Asterin. "What if we told you we could help get you out?"
"Asterin!" They all froze at the anger coming from a certain blonde Slytherin.
