Asterin continued to poke at her food when a note flittered on her plate. She looked around before connecting eyes with Harry Potter. She opened the note, read the words, before setting the note on fire. Asterin gave a nod and got up to leave the main hall.

The Slytherin was pacing in the Room Of Requirement when the Golden Trio came waltzing in.

"Don't you think it's a little foolish sending me notes where eyes can see? I'm not the only Death Eater, Potter. There are people who are loyal to the Dark Lord even without the mark," she scowled.

Granger wrapped an arm around her to calm her trembling shoulders.

"I'm sorry. My life is on the line if word gets back to the Dark Lord that I am a spy to Harry Potter."

"I understand. I apologize. It won't happen again," Potter grunted and walked to the Vanishing Cabinet. He opened it and peered inside, only to be met by emptiness.

"What the bloody hell is this for?" Weasley looked inside too.

"Storage, I presume." Granger pulled several books out of a little bag and laid them on a table. Asterin ignored the boys looking in the cabinet, knowing what it was going to be used for. Draco told her to keep it a secret as they could use it for a last ditch effort to escape.

Or for back up.

"We have to find Horcruxes."

Asterin leaned against the table and waited for Granger to continue.

"They are.. pieces of Voldemort's soul, in a way. If we destroy them he will become mortal and easily killed."

"How are you so sure about this?"

The four of them turned to see Draco had joined them. His arms were crossed and his fingers twirling his snake ring around.

"Blimey. We didn't even hear you come in," Weasley blew out a breath.

"I'm a Death Eater and the Dark Lord's right hand man. I've been trained to not be heard," Draco sneered at the ginger before coming to stand behind Asterin. His fingers lightly trailed along her hips and she immediately was calm.

"Tom Riddle's diary - Voldemort's diary - Harry destroyed it. And the ring. He's growing weaker, isn't he?"

Draco didn't say anything for a moment before he nodded.

"According to this, there are six more. A goblet, locket, diadem, the snake, Voldemort, and-" she looked to Harry whose lips were in a thin line.

"And me. The last piece is in me."

"How is that possible?" Asterin breathed out. Did that mean Harry Potter would have to be killed?

"When he came.. that night.. the night my parents were killed. Dumbledore thinks a piece of his soul went into me because of my mother."

"Your mother sacrificed herself. The most powerful spell anyone could cast," Asterin whispered. "A protection spell a mother casts for her child."

"How do we destroy these?"

Potter blinked away tears and gestures for Granger to continue.

"The diary was destroyed by a basilisk fang and the ring was destroyed by Gryffindor's sword. I would assume either one of those would work. There are more basilisk fangs in the Chamber of Secrets. The sword.. we don't know where it's gone."

Draco began to twirl his snake ring again to signal he was thinking.

"How do we go about finding these.. Horcruxes?"
