This chapter is based before arriving to Hogwarts when Draco and Asterin were forced to go on "dates".

**

Asterin let out a soft laugh as she watched her brother and Blaise continue to throw spells at each other in the sun. It was blistering out, but it was even worse in the Malfoy Manor. Especially with the Dark Lord residing in the Manor as well. They all wanted to be away from his prying eyes.

"What do you find so funny?" The smile fell from her lips at the sound of his voice.

"Why do you care, Malfoy?"

"Ouch. You're hurting my feelings, Aster."

"Don't call me Aster," she grumbled and sat up to see Malfoy had made himself comfortable beside her in the shade.

"You might as well stop pouting about this. There's no way out of it so you need to accept that we are to be married next summer."

"I know! You can stop fucking reminding me." The blonde scoffed and moved to stand up, but a hand gripped her elbow and kept her from standing.

"I rather not have to tell you this again, so listen closely, you will lose this fucking attitude you have. You will happily accept this and act your fucking age. You are not some little girl, Asterin. You will grow up. Do I make myself clear?"

Asterin has never seen that look in Draco's eyes before - he was cold and detached.

"Yes Draco," she breathed out when he grip tightened on her elbow.

"Good. I have been advised to take you to dinner tonight. Be ready at seven." He gave her one more look, waiting to see if she would argue, but when she didn't he gave a nod and walked back to the Manor.

Minus the ring - too much jewelry.

"You look beautiful, Asterin," her mother tucked a stray curl behind her ear. Her hair was pinned elegantly into a bun at the top of her head with only a few strands framing her face. Something her mother decided for her.

"Thank you, mother," she replied back softly as she clasped the bracelet around her wrist.

"Ever the Slytherin princess, sister dear. Now where are you going dressed like that?" Asterin looked to her mother who was quickly trying to find an excuse.

"I'm having dinner with someone the Dark Lord wants me to meet. Something about pureblood families staying pure."

Theo scoffed and finished the rest of his firewhiskey in one gulp.

"Why is he setting you up with someone? You're only sixteen. This better not be some old Death Eater. I much rather you be set up with Blaise or Draco." If only he knew she was meeting Draco for dinner.
