"It was never supposed to end this way..."

The scent of blood and ash is overwhelming. A young woman clings to someone in her lap, vision blurred by never-ending tears. Her heartbeat pains her as she feels the figures' own slowly begin to disappear. A hand reaches up to her face, weakly caressing her cheek and the young woman cannot help but sob harder...

"I'm so sorry...I love you..."

~

The fading sounds of sobbing from within your dream brought you to a slow awakening that morning. Opening your eyes, you laid on your back for a moment, trying your best comprehend it as the sunlight made its way into your room.

'I'm so sorry... I love you...'.

Your brows creased as you thought back to where you'd heard that... A girl cradling someone in her lap and professing her love... Didn't Mamoru have a dream like that?

Maybe that's why it all felt so familiar...

You rolled over in your bed, lazily pulling yourself out and kicking your legs over the edge. With a big yawn, you reached up to rub the sleep out of your eyes only to pull away slowly.

Why were you crying?

~

Sitting alone in the school library, you took a desk by the window and stared out, watching students file out of school as the sun began to set. A sigh left your lips. Despite your best efforts, getting over yesterday proved to be harder than you thought. The revelation behind Mamoru came so suddenly that the weight of it didn't quite hit you until you'd reached home. Not to mention, if you had a small crush on Mamoru before, now it was amplified tenfold. As a result, facing him at school was absolutely out of the question.

Resting your hand against your cheek, your eyes focused on a familiar figure exiting the school along with the other mob of students. Mamoru... He was probably heading straight to cram school. He really was a diligent worker. You admired that.

Finding yourself getting flustered again, you tore your eyes away from the window and buried your face into your hands. Every time you thought of him, your heart began to leap out of your chest and it was practically unbearable. It certainly wasn't your first crush, but as far as you knew, it shouldn't have been this intense.

With a tired sigh, you turned back to the window, noting the setting's sun orange hue and slowly stood up... Walking home might get your mind off of this.

As you opened the door to the library and began to walk down the halls, a slight unnerving murmuring began to creep up on you. It was...different from the typical school chatter you'd hear daily. It was menacing. But, the halls were practically empty. Gulping nervously, you continued your way outside. With each step, the murmuring became louder and more clear until...

Standing at the school entrance, you immediately froze. The students filing out of school...They were in some kind of zombie-like state. The murmuring grew clearer and the words coming from them threw you into a panic. 'Find the Sailor Guardians... find the Silver Crystal...'

Someone knocking into you, sent you, as well as whatever was in their hands, crashing to the ground. You looked up wide-eyed, "Harumi?"

She didn't hear you. As she murmured along with the others, she continued her zombie-like walk. Turning your head to the fallen object you became even more surprised. Her phone... Harumi would've normally dove for that. There was some kind of sound coming from it though. A video? Turning the phone around, your panic only grew, hearing a hypnotic voice coming from the device. 'Submit to the dark kingdom. Find the Silver Crystal at all costs'. Without a second thought, you tossed it away from you. You wouldn't fall for that again...
