"Usagi... Hey, Usagi!"
Usagi stopped in her tracks, blinking owlishly at the pale finger snapped in her face and let her eyes fall on Rei's frowning visage. Beside her Makoto gave a gentle smile, noting the lost look in the blonde's eyes, "Anyone in there?
Another blink. Right, walking. Usagi finally grasped her surroundings again, the afternoon breeze bringing her back to the busy sidewalk. A sheepish smile spread across her lips, "Sorry..." Makoto gave a small smile before picking up her pace to match those of Ami and Minako, leading the way to (Y/N)'s house.
Rei lingered though, noticing the slight cloudy daze in the blonde's eyes and knitted her brows knowingly, "...Keep your mind in the present, Usagi." Her comment lacked her trademark snark, coming out in a low solemn mutter as the girl walked ahead towards the group.
The present. Usagi held her breath slightly, pausing suddenly in the middle of the sidewalk, causing a rushed looking businessman to tut and avoid the obstacle. She repeated the word in her head again and again, 'present'. That was what was most important right now. Ignore the memories of The Silver Millenium, that didn't matter right now... She bit her lip, brows creasing. Doing so wasn't as easy as it sounded. Not when one second she was Usagi Tsukino and the next seeing through the eyes of Serenity... Or perhaps she was Serenity, living through the avatar of 'Usagi Tsukino'. It was thoughts like that, that had been keeping her up at night for the past week, staring teary-eyed at the ceiling... A breeze tousled her bangs, once again pulling Usagi back to the present. Right, she was doing it again.
Usagi made a quick jog towards the group that had wandered away from her, getting back on track to their destination. At this point, she'd probably be able to get to (Y/N)'s house with her eyes closed. For a week straight since that night, they'd all routinely visited after school in hopes of speaking to her with no luck. Not even a glimpse. Though, who could blame her after everything that had happened in the span of just a few hours.
"Here we go again..." Makoto spoke with a frown as the group came to a stop in front of the house on the familiar pathway. The brunette sighed, turning to Minako with a pensive look. "...We don't have a lot of time. If we don't act soon..."
Minako didn't answer for a moment, staring up at the window on the second floor. Seeing the drawn curtains and balcony that hadn't opened since they first came. She tucked a strand of long blonde hair behind her ear, "...She'll come around. If how she felt about Endymion as Celeste is the same as she feels about Mamoru then (Y/N) has to come to her senses."
The girls shared a look of hope before walking towards the front door and tentatively knocking. The familiar face of Ms (L/N) soon appeared with her typical sympathetic smile, she rested against the door frame, brows curved upwards, "Here to try again, girls?"
Rei nodded for them and Ms (L/N) sighed but replaced her worry with an encouraging smile. Moving out of the way, she held the door open wider, "...Good luck."
Finding the correct room was not as difficult as the first time and it wasn't long before they had found the door that wouldn't open. Routinely, Ami reached out to knock, gently calling out, "...(Y/N)? It's us again."
No answer as usual.
Usagi drowned brows creasing as she stared at the door. Stepping forward she called out, "(Y/N)-Chan, we really need to talk to you about... you know..."
No answer. Though a rustle from within the room caught the entire group off guard. They waited in anticipation only for more silence to greet them. Makoto sighed whispering to the girls, "Maybe we should leave her alone..."
