3ᴿᴰ POV
5:48 PM

It was now afternoon, the sun has ever so slowly made its way to meet the long horizon line as the planet turned graciously to face the other way and greet the moon. The clouds were a spectator of the action and, as of blushing, adorned a light warm hue. The French capital was like stuck in time as the only movement present seemed to only grow slower and sluggisher. It's only a couple of minutes and the streets will once again be flooded by the waters of people making their way home.

Among the serene figures that strolled the city, two here laughing while obnoxiously taunting each other. Le Pont des Arts wasn't an exception to the pleasant scenery. The sun didn't miss to reflect on every lock that sat on its walls, the hundred white sheens seaming like little stars scattered all over. Chloe and Luka were heading home from their little 'date' as the latter liked to brag about. Needless to specify, their little bickering was the consequence of that statement.

And as the azurite obtained another weak warning hit, his head swung right to the small wheelbarrow orned with various ice cream flavors. His eyes frightened at the iced sweetness and he instantly turned back to his protagonist;

- Hey what do you think about some ice cream? My treat.

Chloe smiled at the suggestion and her azur eyes drifted to the familiar mustached man and then nodded to the younger one next to her.

- Sure, but I'm paying for the next meal—may it be a five-course one of a croissant.

- Alright!

Greetings and treats were exchanged between the three and finally, the duo was sat at a nearby bench, alternating between rejoicing their frozen treat and the dying sun. The male deflected himself by humming a song that trends the moment in between small bites (psychopath) as the blonde joins in from time to time.

- I would like to put a lock-in with you someday.

Pretty random words that startled Chloe, that was the effect his statement gave off. It is known that those locks that clothed the bridge's sides were unspoken promises between people, usually of love and affection, but still sometimes of friendship. The initials and reddish pinkish colors told a story, most of the time a loved one. So the blonde couldn't help but be a little confused, and, in an odd way, apprehensive.

Cerulean orbs ogled at each other. A delicate silence took place between the two and you could say that it was the only thing that separated them.

Luka's mind went elsewhere. Not that far away but still 20 centimeters away. His thoughts though were far gone, drowned in the deep ocean in front of him. Something always bugged him about Chloe. She wasn't how he wanted her to be; always holding back. He knew he could feel that something much more wonderful hid underneath her shy persona.

He wouldn't lie, he knew next to nothing about her past, and even the first and last glance he got of her before she took off to New York wasn't really personal. And believing the rumors (from anyone were they) wasn't an option.

But he could see that something inside of Chloe was fissured. She didn't believe in herself and it just screamed that fact at his face. It troubled him because he didn't understand her motive. To him, the blonde was a stunning young woman and the butterflies in his abdomen were proof of it. He admired her in so many ways.

Maybe she did a fair share of mistakes in the past but who didn't? Ladybug herself wasn't perfect and Chloe was clearly trying to change that and redeem herself.

- You're beautiful...

Instantly, he felt his entire body tense up. Maybe he wasn't supposed to say that? He himself didn't know what possessed him to blurry out such a statement. But he thought it could be a good way to open that subject with Chloe. Perhaps it wasn't his place to tell her that and maybe was he too digest and abrupt.

Chloe's ears and cheeks were glowing a deep burgundy color by now. She couldn't describe the feeling inside her stomach and her heart beating and drumming inside her chest. A voice inside of her exhorted her to say something back. But her mind was sceptical. She dreaded the words she would blurt out if she dared opening her mouth.

- Th-Thanks... Y-you too?

A small chuckle left Luka's lips as his eyes wandered scarcely to he right. Silence sat between the two again as neither knew what to say or do. Tension was present too but neither dared to acknowledge it.

The male finally plucked up the courage to gaze back to the blonde's brine eyes as a serious yet soft look adorned his features, his gaze intense and persistent.

Chloe didn't know how to feel, how to breath and forgot where she was at that moment. The only person that mattered at that instant was Luka. The only aspect that mattered were his deep orbes that seemed to never end, that seemed so deep that they held so many sentiments and emotions he was unable to read.

Nobody realized who instigated it but when they acknowledged it the only distance between their lips was so narrow a finger wouldn't pass. So thin that they brushed and finally made contact.

Sweet cinnamon and apple herbal tea mixed with a spoonful of smooth honey. A warm flavorful August afternoon as calming sun rays hit one's skin. It felt to soft, so welcoming and cosy. That's what Luka fetl at that moment.

Fresh and crunchy chocolate married to dried figs and nuts. Childhood aromas that mixed with the bitter taste of adulthood and maturity. Those are the flavors that exploded inside Chloe's taste buds, sending tingles right to her heart and flutters rapidly to her mind that, for the first time in eternity felt at rest.

- Miss Bourgeoi, their's a...young boy for you at the door.

- I have a lock for you.
