Chloe

Ooooh my god

It felt like a big old rock stuck in the pit of her stomach. One that she felt unable to vomit out of her system. That's the effect stress has on her. She feels as if in order to get that bolder out, her body is trying to pucke the rest of her dinner as well as the little breakfast she just had. What a wonderful idea.

Not a good start for our chapter don't you folks agree?

Anyhow, given the circumstances she was in, pucking in a leather decorated car does not seem like the best of choices, especially since she spent twenty minutes standing in front of her closet like a dumb statue to choose her outfit.

So the food better stays in place, for the sake of everyone here since I am not that keen on writing a vomiting scene.

Well, now you must have already guessed what it is all about right? The stress and drama are all because of the first day of school, the much dreaded and feared day off all. Cue melodramatic music, please.

Oh, how scary is it to go back to the people you knew and spend countless times with, one that you even got the chance to hang out with!

So what are your excuses, Chloe? Scared of the small talk? Besides Sabrina is going to be there.

Well now that the car has stopped, her train of thoughts may finally stop at a station. Gulping the lump in her throat, she bids the kind sir that brung her here goodbye. The school gates welcomed her as usual, the way they did two years ago. Except that they seemed so much more threatening this time, as if the stone making them would collapse on her form. Pretty joyful thoughts if you ask my opinion.

And with that, she makes her way in, not knowing if she is sauntering through the gates of hell or the clouds in paradise.

Still, with a little conviction, she thought everything could be fine and would eventually work out right? Everything was set already by her daddy; she was registered in the system and tonight her timetable would be visible on her work tablet. Simple.

Now all she needed to do was go out there and do it.

And eventually, needless to say, the day went on smoothly. Adrian got to show her around even if she knew the school grounds (but she wasn't one to complain they got to talk and it was pretty relieving to her).

As for the rest well her teachers were the same, nobody decided to hold grudges and she sat next to Sabrina, just like old times.

The nostalgia sure hit her hard and the feeling of still being unworthy of what she is given sure is still present, but she was enjoying her day. And maybe, just maybe she might be able to make it up now. Maybe she can try again and win.

A strategy, that's what we need!

A pretty simple one too. A targeting one. Not like she used to target people to tease no, now she is going to win them back. Two people seemed to be the less comfortable around her and those were Nathaniel and Kagami.

Target n°1: Nathaniel Kurtzberg

Because cause let's be honest here, Kagami is pretty scary...

Luka

University is in three days. And to be honest Luka wasn't as stressed as he thought he was going to be. Although every hour ticking on the small cafe's clock would remind him that his days are counted, he still tried to ignore that growing pit in his stomach.
