16-how odd

Today is Saturday, stream day! For the first hour of my stream, I played some Stardew Valley then did some parkour on Hypixel with Ellie. The stream went well. Usually, streams, where I don't play Minecraft right away, don't get many views but I don't often care much. I spin around in my chair while aimlessly chatting to Ellie and catching up on things.

"How's school going? Flunking yet?" I ask her.

"Surprisingly not" Ellie laughs. "I've actually been doing decently".

"That's good. Oh wait, how are things with that girl at your work, what was her name... oh yeah Clair-"

"We do not speak of her name anymore, that is done-zo, vanished, poofed" Ellie says quickly.

"Wait, what happened?" I ask her confused.

"Nothing, nothing, I'm just a big dumb nimrod, that is all" Ellie answers.

"If you say so" I answer

We both laugh about it then suddenly the subject turns to me, "Sooooo, Tubbo huhhh?" Ellie says slyly.

"Yes, what about him?" I ask in a sigh.

"Well, I mean what's happening with you two? Didn't you guys hang out on Halloween a bit ago?" she says, she's always so curious about Toby and I.

"Yeah we did hang out but we are just friends. Can't a guy and girl just be friends? Hm?" I answer.

I feel my heartbeat quicken. Definitely just friends.

"Fine, fine. Whatever you sayyyy" I can hear her smirk.

"Bea! Supper's ready" I hear my mum call from downstairs.

"I'll be down in a second" I call back to her. I turn my head back to my screen.

"ANYWAYS, I think I'm gonna head off now, supper is ready and I am starving, talk to you later man" I say my goodbyes to Ellie.

"Bye Bea, have fun with your friend Tub-".

Before she could even finish her sentence I left the call. I was up and gone on my way to eat supper. The scent of food filled my nose as I went downstairs. On the table, I see pork chops, bok choy, and rice. My favourite. My mum is laying on the couch watching the food channel and I sit down and start eating. I start putting food on my plate and while I eat, I scroll through Instagram and Twitter. I spoon some rice into my mouth as I see a notification on Discord from Tommy. That's weird. Like...really weird. I wait a minute or two to see what he sent. His message reads:

Tommy: hello bea woman that is friends with tubbo but not as good as friends with tubbo than i am

Oh god, what does he have to say now.

Bea: hello tommy boy who is friends with tubbo but (i guess) better friends with him than i, what do you want at this time of supper?

Tommy: well if you want to know so badly, i just wanted to know if you would consider you and tubbo "close friends" hm?

Bea: are you trying to trick me? why did you put close friends in quotes??

Tommy: nevermind that, well are you or are you not? hm?

Bea: well we are close friends if that's what you're asking

Tommy: ok that is all, goodbye woman

Bea: goodbye? i guess?

I am utterly confused. I put my phone down and cut my pork chop into pieces. What even was that? What an odd one he is. I continue eating, I'll deal with it when my stomach is well full.
