When Sakusa opened his eyes, he couldn't see the sun shine through the windows, but the sky was starting to light up in a purple gleam. He stood from the bed, not entirely stable on his feet, and searched his bag for his pocket watch.
About four in the morning.
He assumed the crew would wake up in a couple hours along with the sun, so he decided to go out right away. Then he'd be able to get some food and avoid any contact with the filthy pirates.
He dressed up quickly and opened the door. The air was cool and fresh. A small breeze made him shiver as it crept down his neck. He quickly made his way down to the food storage to bring a couple fruits to his room. He tried to be as quiet as possible as he knew the crew's corner was close by.
He reached the corner where the apples were kept. He picked the small cloth Atsumu had brought him and started picking a few fruits. Something suddenly hit his ankle, making him trip and hit his head on a pole that was a little too low for his height. He was now fallen, his head resonating as he saw Atsumu's face close to him, cursing slightly.
"Oh gosh! Are ya okay??" he whispered. Atsumu's features started to glow in the dawn's rays. "Geez, you scared me!" he sighed, holding his heart.
"What do you mean! YOU scared ME, dumbass!" Sakusa breathed heavily, trying to slow his heart rate.
"Sorry, sorry! I didn't think anyone would come down here anytime soon..." Atsumu confessed, scratching the back of his neck while looking away. He offered his hand to help Sakusa stand, but he already knew the answer. Sakusa glared and stood on his own.
"What are you even doing here?" Sakusa questioned, dusting off his clothes and wiping his hands with his pocket cloth as he always did. Atsumu blushed...
"Well..." Atsumu laughed nervously. "I didn't have anywhere to sleep. So I thought I might as well come down here in case it rains or something."
"Don't you have an extra space in the crew's room?"
"Well, yeah, but they're all mad at me, so I didn't really want to bother them. And, well, ya got my room so..."
A feeling of guilt crept up the governor's cheeks.
"Oh. Right..."
"I-It's okay though! I-It's my fault." he stuttered. "I offered it to ya. It's my own fault."
'Great.' Sakusa thought, now he felt bad for the captain. Although, just the thought of his body, now five days without a shower, made him sick.
"I'll make you a deal..." Sakusa started, his blush deepening. "After you clean yourself today, I'll let you sleep in, well, your own bed... Straight after though! Not an hour later, not 10 minutes later. Right away. Okay?"
Atsumu couldn't help but smirk at the blushing governor. 'Adorable.' He thought.
"Aww, does Omi-Omi feel responsible for me?" he joked, distracting his focus from the boy before him.
"Shut up." Sakusa hissed, crossing his arms.
"I didn't hear anything opposed to it, so I'm gonna claim that ya care about me."
"In your dreams, lame-ass." Sakusa scoffed, picking up his apples again.
"Oh! That's a new one." Atsumu smirked. "Ya love giving me pet names, don't you, Omi-Omi?"
Sakusa rolled his eyes, turning away from the captain. "God, you're annoying."
Atsumu chuckled and followed behind the boy as they left the storage. He grabbed a few additional fruits for himself in the process. Once on the main deck, they came across one of the shortest crewmate. Sakusa didn't quite remember his name.
