As Atsumu and Sakusa ran away from the sneaky pair, they were both silent. They made their way to the basement to grab some food to eat on the front deck.
"Sorry again, for taking yer hand..." Atsumu broke the peace, grabbing a loaf of bread and some apples.
"It's okay, you kind of saved me." Sakusa admitted as he wiped his hand with his beloved handkerchief, out of pure habit.
"Oh, crap." Atsumu sighed, looking at Sakusa with sorry. "What did they tell ya..."
"Not much, but they asked a rather personal question, I suppose... I didn't really know what to answer anyways."
"Those damn snakes. They can't keep their own business. They did the same with Kita and Aran."
Sakusa stared curiously while Atsumu finished cleaning the apples. Atsumu felt the longing look, stopped his action and started to nod drastically.
"No, no. No! Do not look at me like that. I'm not telling ya anything." Atsumu defended, rushing up the stairs, struggling to push open the trap door.
"Come on, Tsumu!" Sakusa teased, knowing the nickname was something he wouldn't resist. "Just tell me! I won't say a word."
Atsumu stayed quiet for a second.
".....You're evil, ya know that?" he scoffed, a light tint of pink on his nose.
"Yeah, but you like it." Sakusa crossed his arms, abusing of the small victory.
"When did ya get so flirty and bold?" Atsumu chuckled at the new attitude.
"When I know I can get what I want out of it." Sakusa winked. "You're not the only one, you know."
Atsumu sighed, praying for forgiveness.
"Now answer me. What's going on with Kita and Aran?"
"They're kind of a thing... but it's complicated."
"...I'm sorry what?" Sakusa's grin grew wider, clearly amused by the news.
"Yeah. They don't like to be all touchy when the crew is around. So, when they're on their own, they actually look like a couple. Otherwise, it doesn't show. So don't tell them I told you, or I'll get scolded for life." Atsumu scoffed, his imagination running wild from telling their friend's weakness to someone he barely knew... A politician too, of all people. Not that Atsumu cared much about of the title, in fact, he couldn't care less, but he couldn't say the same about his friends. "Now can we go?"
Satisfied, Sakusa nodded. They made their way to the front of the ship, as planned, and ate peacefully. The rumbling of bags and cases being moved around could be heard from the crew working, but otherwise the atmosphere was tranquil.
"Just so you know, we are stopping by a small town this afternoon to get supplies." Atsumu spoke, a piece of apple still in his mouth. "I also have to meet someone there so, if ya want to take the opportunity to take a real bath, I know someone who could help."
Sakusa's heart rate sped up at the mention of a real bath.
"Really?" Sakusa asked, taking a bite from his loaf of bread.
"Yeah, my aunt lives nearby. I'll show you on the way to my meeting."
Sakusa eyed the boy suspiciously. He wanted to make sure he wasn't being played like he did last time.
