The Prince

Chapter 3

Each day we had a lesson with uncle Tet after our studies and etiquette, and I really learned a lot about this world and how to control my magic properly now.

Now I am taking magic lessons with Uncle Tet alone because Sefiria née-sama is doing something with mother right now.

"Uncle Tet," I said.

"Yes, Samuel? Is there something you don't understand from the lesson?" He asks while emitting an aura to test me.

Of course I wasn't fazed by his aura, so I just continued and saw a smile on his face, "actually it isn't about the lesson uncle. It is about my experience. I want to gain experience in using magic. Like hunting magical beasts in the forest if I can get permission that is."

Uncle Tet looked at me with a glee expression as if saying 'I knew he would say that, this is going to be fun'.

When I looked at his expression he said, "of course you need experience actually I was going to bring you with me to the forbidden forest to to hunt some magical beasts. But, your father didn't agree."

"I will see to it that father allows me. I mean if you're going to be with me watching, then why should father worry about my well being?" I said as I headed for father's office.

I knocked on the door 3 times and waited for his response, "enter," he said as he was engrossed in his work.

I entered on his word and greeted father politely and cutely, "greetings, father. I missed you a lot."

When father heard me, he immediately stopped his work and carried me in his arms and greeted me as well.

"Hello~ my cute prince~ It indeed has been a long time, I was going to die if I hadn't seen you. But you graced me with your presence and I am happy, now to what do I owe the pleasure of my son visiting me?" He said while smiling widely and doting on me.

I replied, "father, I am sorry if I'm disturbing you right now, but I would like to go with Uncle Tet to the forest to gain experience in hunting monsters, of course Uncle Tet will help me if I'm in danger so can I?" I asked cutely.

He looked at me and nodded, then instantly glared at Uncle Tet, his face literally saying 'If something happens to him, you will pay the price'

Uncle Tet laughed a silent laugh and then took me in his arms and brought me to the forbidden forest.

At the entrance of the forbidden forest~

We reached the entrance of the forbidden forest, then we walked until we stopped in the center of the forest.

Uncle Tet told me I can go and hunt and said that in the area we are currently residing in all the magical beasts that will appear are ones that I can easily defeat. And also said that I should follow the path to not stray away from the area.

So I took his word on it and ventured deeper in the forest trying not to stray from the path uncle told me to stay on.

After a few minutes I encountered a magical beast that looked like a giant snake. It was pitch black with red bloody eyes emitting a dark aura ready to hunt at any time. It was one of those creatures of darkness that Uncle Tet told me when he was teaching me magic.

I took the initiative and casted a barrier around us as to not attract attention from any other beast. I used a barrier made out of light magic which was called holy light barrier. I used light magic because the giant snake has an attribute for dark magic.

After I casted the barrier I summoned a holy light spear to attack it, but I needed a distraction and I also needed to weaken it before I used the spear, so I casted a fire and light combination magic which allowed me to create a spell called 'Heavenfire' that has the ability to create orbs of pure white, celestial flame that heal the worthy and burn creatures of darkness.
