Nate's Side :

The police quickly ushered Nate into the back of the ambulance with Zari and they both drove off to the hospital. It would be a good 30 minute drive to the nearest hospital and they were just lucky an ambulance happened to be in the area. Throughout the ride he closely observed Zari. He looked at the way she breathed and moved and somehow, even unconscious, looked stunning. They eventually got to the hospital and they took Zari into the emergency room. They then told Nate to stay in the waiting room.

~ Time Skip ~

It had been a few hours and the Nate heard the nurse call him.

"Nate, Heywood? Ms. Tomaz is waiting for you"

Nate got up and realized just how many people were looking at him. He quickly ran over to the nurse who took him to Zari's room.

Zari's Side :

Zari woke up and she vaguely remembered what had happened. The doctors told her that she had been drugged at the party and that Nate Heywood had brought her here.

"Where is he  now?" She asked

"He's in the waiting room." The doctor replied

"Could you please call him? I want to thank him"

"Of course, and your husband should be coming in 30 minutes" and with that the doctor left.

Zari's eyes shot down when she heard the word "husband" and decided to think of something else. In truth, she didn't believe Nate Heywood had saved her and she wanted to see it for herself.

Suddenly the door opened and there he was.

Both Nate and Zari's Sides :

Nate walked in and looked at Zari in the bed.

"I'll give you both some time to catch up and then come back" the nurse said as she left.

Suddenly it was just the two do them in the room.

Zari had seen Nate in pictures before but never in person until now, she couldn't stop staring at him. He was even more gorgeous in real life.

Nate eventually broke the awkward silence.

"Um so she said you wanted to see me?"

Zari broke out of her trance.

"Oh yeah, I just wanted to say thank you, for bringing me here."

"It's no problem, I'm sure everyone else would do the same"

"Well, not the people who drugged me in the first place" she said with a smile as if reassuring her emotions.

"I guess you're right about that" he replied with a warm smile.

Suddenly, the doctor came in the room.

"Your husband will be here shortly, Ms. Tomaz" she said.

"Oh ok" Zari replied with a certain sadness no one would be able to tell.

Nate could tell though, cause he could feel it was the same sadness in him.

"Well, I guess I should get going" Nate said.

"Are you sure, I'm sure Ms. Tomaz's husband would love to see the man who saved his wife"

"No he's fine" Zari said quickly.

"Yeah, I should get going"

"Bye" Zari said.

"Bye" Nate responded.
