Thank you for reading my story! I'll do my best to update weekly. Enjoy!

"Ugh, living on my own's not gonna be fun." you sighed as you placed your dirty laundry into the washer.

This was only the first chore of the day. You would have to get used to doing all of the housework, though. Your parents lived all the way in Tokyo, while you lived alone in Inarizaki.

Why were you living on your own? Well, back in your middle school years, your parent's company was looking to branch out in America. Because of that, the three of you moved to New York for a few years.

When they finally got the company running, they decided to move back to Japan. The company's headquarters was in Tokyo and your parents needed to be close by.

But they also wanted you to have a break from the big city life. As a result, they enrolled you in Inarizaki High and bought a nice sized house close to the school.

They still planned on seeing you, just not as frequently as before.

You may have been lonely at the start, but you were excited to live life on your own. It gave you a sense of freedom and liberation. You would soon become an adult. The only downside was that adults had to do chores on their own.

After finishing a few more tasks, you decided it was time for some lunch.

You walked over to the fridge and took out a fillet of salmon that you bought from the market last week. It had been a while since you ate this type of fish, as New York's food selection was much different from Japan's.

You grabbed a pan out of the cabinet and turned the dial on the stove up to high. Preparing fish was something you had no experience doing yourself, but you had seen your parents do it multiple times.

"If I just throw some butter and spices in the pan then it'll probably taste okay." You thought.

While the fish seared in the pan, you finished getting ready for the day. At 12:30 you were going to drop by Inarizaki High to pick up some last minute paperwork for your transfer.

School started tomorrow and there were some last minute documents you had to sign. It was already 11:45, so you would have to eat fast.

You ran back to the kitchen and put the salmon on a plate. It's looked disgusting, but you were never the cooking type. In fact, burning toast was one of your many talents.

You hesitantly picked up a bite of the fish with your chopsticks and placed it into your mouth.

"This is disgusting! What the heck did I just make?" You complained with a sour face.

The dish you prepared tasted worse than it looked. You honestly didn't even know if the fish was cooked all the way through.

You looked at the time, 12:00. "There's no time to make anything else." You pouted as you finished the last of the salmon.

Before you walked out the door, you looked at yourself in the mirror to fix any last minute imperfections. You didn't really have to, as you were gorgeous from your shiny (h/c) locks to your (e/c) orbs. Not a hair was out of place and your skin was free from any blemishes.

You grabbed your (f/c) bag and headed out the door.

Inarizaki High was only a few minutes away, but you left a little early in case you ran into any obstacles.

With every step that you took towards the school, something began to seem more and more off. Your stomach felt like it had a rock in it, but it felt light as a feather at the same time.

"Ugh, I shouldn't have eaten that fish." You cursed to yourself. "Hopefully I'll get over it soon."

As you got closer to the school, you noticed several students staring at you. "I didn't think this many people would be at school before the first day." You thought.

You figured that they were all participating in their respective club activities. "Maybe I should join a club." You pondered. "Definitely not cooking club."

You rolled your eyes at the repulsive dish you had "created" that morning. Your stomach continued to feel worse and the stares you were receiving were not helping the cause.

"She's really pretty."
"Is she a new student?"
"Do you think I can get her number!?"
These were all phrases you heard from the students in the street.

Normally when you heard comments like these, you would walk with an extra pep in your step. You never got tired of people fawning over your gorgeous appearance. But today was different. Extra attention was the last thing you wanted when you felt sick.

A few minutes later, you reached the gates of the school.

You smiled for a second, but your expression dropped when you realized you had no idea where the office was. You entered the main doors and began to wander around.

"Where would the office be at?" You whined as you clutched your stomach.

As you approached a set of double doors, you began to hear faint voices and the sound of a ball dribbling.

"Maybe someone over there can tell me where the office is. " You thought as you entered the doors.

Your stomach was quickly feeling worse and worse, but you stayed strong. After all, the sooner you got your paperwork the sooner you could go home.

"Hey, can someone tell me where the off-"

BANG

You never got to finish your sentence.
